Can definitely relate to your approach and naturally find appealing. This is probably my own BS terminology, but I describe a lot of what's going on with your images as heavy image distortion, color saturation, and image degradation.
Clipping masks and overlapping cut-outs make for interesting comps, and some look greater when mounted or bordered.
But it also looks that on your attempt to maybe saturate colors, there's image degradation. To me it looks interesting, and it works, but I personally avoid losing image clarity while saturating colors by carefully manipulating layer opacity (sometimes I'm able to enhance quality).
This, for example, looks like a still from 4th generation/heavily degraded VHS tape:
Whether it's intentional or not, it looks great and interesting, but if the real attempt was to make everything kind of solidify in saturated colors, it doesn't seem to get the job done.
All in all, love your stuff. It all looks effortless and makes perfect sense. Can safely say we're taking similar approaches in sigmaking, so one thing I would hope for us is to get people to synchronize and get them to appreciate these image distortions and color saturation for them to try out later.
