I got rid of the ones that didn't work also (referring to your sig ) that's a very well know Monty Python quote it's not that bizarre that it'd show up in a google search.

You make a good point.

Where do you guys find your stocks? I can find easy, obvious ones such as artwork or wallpaper from a video game or movie, but not much other than that. So, yeah, where's a good place to find stocks?

I've found some on last.fm (as far as musicians go).

Okay, after never ever downloading brushes, I finally did! I just extracted all of Hyrule's brushes from his XCF thread, and I got to say, brushes are pretty cool.

I'd like to join the class, I'm pretty rusty at things and feel I could use a lot of improvement in general. I'm somewhat good at grungy types of signatures but that's about it so I could really use some branching out into other styles.

Weaknesses that need improving:
- Text!
- Other styles of backgrounds besides grunge.
- Render blending.

Besides the first one that I just made, I can't remember how to do some of the other stuff that I managed in the other two signatures. I have a suspicion that it may be brushing but I'm not entirely sure.

the sigs are decent for a beginner, but all of the rendrs look slapped on. When are you puting them in the sig the first few layer or the last few? Text is completly optional, you don't have to do it at all if you don't want to; I don't.

Just do the tutorials at the top of the page and post the results.

The renders are usually on one of the topmost layers usually, because I tend to have a lot of overlaying effects or colors.

Renders are definitely not my strong point.

worst thing you could do. never ever make the render on the last layer.

And why not? Never say never.

It's all about how you go about things.

Alright almost never, but I don't think I've ever made sig with the render at the top.

Mmk, tutorial # 1 done. It didn't turn out quite as... subtle as the tutorial's sig did but I guess I did okay anyways? It's definitely interesting...



EDIT: Tutorial #2 Done. That was hell never make me do that again. ;_;
But in all seriousness I couldn't get the C4Ds erased decently without it looks incredibly obvious that an erase was taken to it. I finally gave up and just kept going. This monstrosity was produced.

Whenever I have to erase stuff, such as c4d's or the render, I just blur around the area I cut out.
