Re: Frozen's Homeroom (Photoshop)
Oops backlog. Sorry about the delay, but my life has been a little... dramatic recently, so this had to take a back-seat. SORRY GUYS! :[

From what I have tried to adapt by watching YouTube tutorials, I use filters very little, brushes alot, and renders I have only recently discovered. I find myself using a combination of linear dodge, saturation, and color dodge(?) when trying to make renders fit better with the color scheme. Backgrounds use to consist mainly of several layers of brushes, but now are renders, yet I can not seem to get it perfectly how I imagine it before creating it.

Re: Frozen's Homeroom (Photoshop)
Does this class about help with those who have Photoshop Elements?
A chance to learn about Elements and not the more advanced Photoshops that everyone else has.... A tutorial. My kingdom for a tutorial. D:

Re: Frozen's Homeroom (Photoshop)
Alright, here is another signature I have created. I made it before I saw your Basics tutorial, so I guess it doesn't follow the basic rules, but I thought I'd just put it in here since it is one of my better ones in my opinion.
EDIT: Whoops. I just realized I never put it in here. Well, here it is. ![]()

I have three new signatures to show you, uǝzoɹɟ. I followed the basics, and I think the outcomes were pretty good. What do you think?

Re: Frozen's Homeroom (Photoshop)
Oh... I don't like GIMP. It's too hard to use and I can't draw with it, and I use Elements pretty much to draw my webcomics.
Well... thanks anyway.

Re: Frozen's Homeroom (Photoshop)
That's quite alright. :]
Hmm... I never did ask you to do anything did I? ![]() Okay, I want you to make me a sig with the most interesting background you can. Smudging works well, and there are loads of amazing tutorials out there. I'd suggest only using C4D etc. if you're confident you can pull them off though.

Re: Frozen's Homeroom (Photoshop)
I didn't really do anything out of the ordinary, just basically a few smudges and filters. Here are some steps to give you an idea on what I did but nothing too detailed.
Step1: First I used a simple green and baby blue gradient. Step2: I smudged over the gradient. Step3: I placed my render, then duplicated it. Then I rotated my duplicated layer and smudged it abit with a random brush. Step4: I duplicated my render layer again. Then I used filters/distort wave/randomize, then on the same layer filters/distort/shear. Then I set the layer to dodge. Then basically I used those^ same steps above over and over again. A couple of layers I applied image, then I went to filter/ditsort/twirl, then I use either soft light or dodge. Then a few other layers I applied my image, blurred it and I'd do either a screen or linear dodge to make the light brighter. I put a few polka dots with a small hard brush with the colors I used from the gradient map. I took a large soft brush and put a light source to the right of Saria. On another layer I used a black brush then lowered the opacity. I googled some music notes and placed it into my image. Oh yes, one thing I forgot to mention is that on the layers that I set diffrent, I always erase parts I dont like. Thats basically all. Anything else are just effects that I play around and experiment with using filters. Alot of times I even forget what I've done after I'm finished lol. I may have left a few good steps out because I'm trying not to make this too long. But those are the basic things I've done. |

![]() I didn't follow the assignment that closely. I used only one fractal with a lowered opacity. The text is yummy though. :3 Original Stock |

Re: Frozen's Homeroom (Photoshop)
Alrighty then, I am finally uploading the steps here. I am using the Admin bomb one, that is my favorite:
![]() 1st Layer: White Background 2nd Layer: Took image of person/wizard that you see, and used a leaf to smudge it across the canvas. 3rd Layer: Duplicate of wizard render, smudged it out, and set it to color dodge. 4th Layer: Duplicate of wizard render, smudged it out, and set it to overlay. 5th Layer: Duplicate of wizard render, and erased some of the edges to blend him in some. 6th Layer: Dark Blue-ish render, smudged it over the canvas, erased parts that covered the wizard render. 7th Layer: Duplicate of blue render, smudged it out, erased parts that covered the wizard render, and set it to color dodge. 8th Layer: Duplicate of blue render, smudged it out, erased parts that covered the wizard render, kept it on normal. 9th Layer: Blackish render, smudged it out, erased parts that covered the wizard render, set it to color dodge. 10th Layer: Duplicate of black render, erased parts that covered the wizard render, set it to color dodge. 11th Layer: The Admin Bomb, Lilith Text, 24 pt, tilted it, set it to Overlay. And that be all.
