Hey this looks really cool, i want to join your class.

7. How much have you used the program? Have you figured out what different tools do, or are we starting from scratch?I think i know alot about it. I recently learned how to make the white around a picture invisible with the Opaque thing

6. I also was wondering if there is any way to make the pixels unblurry after you save the picture... Because after i save the pic and open it again, the white on the outside will not be just white, it had a bunch of other shades and stuff.

^ Follow that tutorial, post whatever you come up with here. It covers the very basics of sig making, with borders and text and such.

DogDog, I have made a MSPaint discovery. I will try my best to explain it.
Here's how I did it.
1. Make a background.
2. Basically get everything but the image you want the same color. For this to work the color has to be the Invert Color of on of the colors in your picture.
3. Make the image and background the same size.
4. Put the Image over the background.
5. Then with the foreground STILL SELECTED go to Edit>Invert Colors and instead of the color you chose on the outside, it will be the invert of that color that is see-thru that was around the oustide being see-thru, it's now the black.
Like so:

Obviously then you'd have to work with the invert of the original if you want it to be normal colors.

All done

Tips:
1. Always save as a .png. The color will come out a lot smoother and it won't put that green in your border.
2. Use a background color that fits with the image. I understand why black, but the picture itself looks a little out of place with the white glow on the edges.

Okay, i re did it.
When i saved it as a Gif i got this:
A bunch of dots

But before i saved it i copied it, and when i saw what happened to the GIF, i saved it as a PNG and got this:

Oh, my mistake, I meant .png. Sorry.

You're going to have to get rid of any and all dark pixels on the edge.

2. You inverted the colors. This made all the white in the picture black, and all the black in the picture white.
3. Because you still had it set so that white was invisible, what had been super black lines suddenly became super white lines, which is why the outline turned to being transparent.

Nope, you didn't even need to invert in it the first place! Try this. Take the exact same picture and your background. Set black as you secondary/transparent color. Then move it on top of the background. It should get the same effect, without the inverted colors.

(By the way, are you having fun being assistant teacher? )

Daltonr6 - Good job. I think Mini covered everything that could bee improved. My only other suggestion for that would've been to start with a picture with a background, just so it doesn't look quite as flat.

Next assignment is a little trickier: Scanlines.

Yes, you are.
You just don't want the lighting in the two pictures to too far from each other.

Dog Dog 123, I've been having technical troubles w/ MS paint and GIMP. My friend DaltonR6 told me you would be the best person to see about it. The problem is that the color pallate is all messed up, all the blues come out grey, pink and light yellow are white, and burgundy is brown. There are many other mix ups but it would take forever to list them all. Plz help me out, I've been getting into making Avvys and GIFs lately and it will obviously be really hard without those two programs. Thank you for your time. Please PM me any info on the matter.

EDIT: I know I am not officially in yet but here is a simple sig a made (I mainly did my own method making it though, I did a different one with your method and I found my way was easier for me). I kinda did a bad job on the right image.

What do you mean by "The blues are coming out grey"? Like, when does the color change, and what are you trying to do with it?

On your sig: Great job, for a beginner. For the picture on the left, it doesn't really look like there would've been any good way to work with that one, except for maybe inverting the picture or something so the background was dark. Anyways, no real problems there.

Current Assignment: Just make something with a border. (Or add borders to that one.) Just to make sure you can draw a straight line.
