The Design Concept Drop In.
Greetings. Welcome to my Antihomeroom. There are no beds and no register. Just come in, join in and go as you please. Photoshop is the application of choice and I am here to cover Design Theory. This is stuff like 'What makes an image pleasing to the eye?', 'How can it be improved?' and 'Does this image even mean anything?'. Basically nitpicking at images, looking at all the detail and attempting perfection. So, no appointment necessary, just fire away (your other teachers won't hate you for it). [I'll beef this post up as I go along]

Re: The Design Concept Drop In.
Well, I'd like to be your first customer. Could you check out my new set? For example, I don't like the text, but I don't want to completely take it out. Suggestions? Also, is there anything else I could do to make it better?

Re: The Design Concept Drop In.
Ok, quick thing about your text positioning:
Your text sticks up 14 pixels from the top of the main image and 11 pixels from the side of the image. try bringing the text to a 1:1 ratio. 14 up and 14 out or 11 up and 11 out. You may also want to consider closing the gap between Tears and Will slightly by opening the character pallet by clicking this button: ![]() Highlighting the 's' in 'tears' and changing this value to something lower (experiment and see what looks best): ![]() On the whole, the image is well executed, if you have anything else to ask, go ahead.

Re: The Design Concept Drop In.
Awesome! Thank you. Yeah, I was trying to close that gap up, but wasn't sure how. Thanks very much for clarifying. One more question. I was told by a few people that they didn't like the background of the signature. So what do you think of these backgrounds? Which do you like more of the three? Is there something I could improve on to make them more believable? (I will re-add the text once I've decided)

Re: The Design Concept Drop In.
I like the city scene overall. It adds story to the signature.
