Welcome to my homeroom.

The program I use is Photoshop 7.0. It's not the very best, but it certainly gets the job done. I have been using Photoshop for around about 5 months, give or take a bit. I know that's not that long, but I've been using this program most probaly every day and have become quite familiar with it.

I will be teaching:
Photoshop - I will try and teach you plenty of things you need to know about Photoshop. Such as tools, filters, layers and more.

Signature making - I will teach you the things about making decent signatures. Such as filters, text, tools, picture blending, final touches, and plenty more.

Photoshop can be quite easy, once you get the hang of it. But still, I learn things I never even knew about, all the time while experimenting with Photoshop. I'll try my best to teach you everything I know about it. This may take some time, yes, but I'm willing to give it a try.

I would like every student to fill this out, please. So atleast then it gives me a headstart, to figure out how experienced you are, and what I should be teaching you.

1.What version of Photoshop do you use, and how long have you been using it for?

2. Choose the most suitable answer for yourself.
(a) I'm experienced with the program, and know a lot about it.
(b) I know a few things here and there, but would like some help and guidance.
(c) I don't know very much about the program.
Either answer would be absolutely fine, it's what suits you most. I'm here to teach, and I don't mind how experienced/inexperienced you are.

3.What would you like to learn?
I know you have come here to either learn about photoshop itself, or signature making, but what exactly would you like to learn? Is there something you've always wanted to do, but don't know how?

I appreciate your help with that.

To start off, I'm going to set a small assignment.
Assignment:
Make a signature, with whatever render you wish. It has to have a border, your name, and the size requirements are 330 x 100. Do whatever you like. This is to help me know how experienced you are already.

Hey, that's pretty good job, for only experimenting with PS for 2 months. Well done.

The picture of Zelda could maybe of been better quality, but that doesn't matter. You seem to know your way with text a bit, and other effects such as outer glow. Nice. Hm, the background is pretty good, I like the way you've made it different behind Zelda, so the background isn't all plain and the same. Looks like you've been havin' fun with the liquify filter. It does need some improvement, but hey that's what you're here for, eh? :-P.

In my opinion, I reckon you have done a great job for how long you've been using PS. I can tell you tried, and I'm very proud of that . Oh, one thing. When saving your work, I'd advise you to save it as png, not jpg. The quality would be much better.

Congratulations on you first assignment, you definitely have done a great job. Lol, I haven't even taught you anything yet. I'll make yous a tutorial as soon as I can, which would be in a few hours or so, because I have to go to tennis. Sorry about that. Thanks for the effort, I'm sure you'll get to your aim of making a shop one day soon .

Oh, dragonpsi6, did Leminnes tell you that I'm your teacher? Just wondering, because you don't seem to be on my student list at the moment.

I'm really sorry about the wait. I had been really busy all week, then was stupid enough to get grounded. But that's no excuse, I should of made a tutorial or something for you sooner. Well, I tried to complete the tutorial today, but I only finished around about half. This is the sig I'm going to teach you guys how to make.



It's a pretty simple signature, based mainly around filters. I'm hoping it won't be too hard, but I'll try and give a tutorial on tools first, so you get to know photoshop better. I'll try and complete it tomorrow, sorry about the wait.

Don't be sorry. I really should of done this sooner, but I've been busy, and also a bit lazy I admit. That's no excuse though, I should of gotten this done sooner. I am really sorry.

Well I made a tut tonight. It's my first tut, so it might be a bit iffy. I hope it's not too hard or anything though. I'm sure yous will do fine. Oh, and I did it on a different sig, because I think this is a better sig to do it on, it teaches you more. If you want one on the other one though, that would be fine. I also better get a tutorial on tools done soon too. I'm really sorry about the wait and everything. I promise you won't have to wait like this again, well unless I get grounded..which I hope not.

Very nice outcomes there, xXxMidnaxXx.

1st sig - This is my least favourite out of the 3, but I still reckon you are doing an amazing job, for only being a beginner at photoshop. The render could be blended in a bit more, but overall it's a pretty good job. Though the text seems to take up a lot of the sig, and draw you away from the actual background and render itself, but that's no problem. I dislike the red border though, but that's fine, it doesn't matter what colour border you have really, it's just this one doesn't seem to go with the sig. It looks great though. Nice job man.

2nd sig - This is probaly my favourite aswell. It's hard to choose though, I really like this one and the 3rd one a lot. With this one everything is really well blended, and the flow is perfect. I can't seem to see any flaws with this one, it's a nice job. I'm sure you're going to improve in no time, especially with how fast you learn things. Well done.

3rd sig - This is a great job aswell. The render is a bit choppy, but that's ok. I'll make you a tutorial on the tools, so you know how to use them all, just incase you don't know what a few do, soon. So then your renders shouldn't be choppy when you cut them out, well unless that one was already bad quality in the first place. Anyways, I like how it's dark around the bottom, then light at the top with different kind of effects. Looks nice. Great job.

Overall you did a fantastic job, you really did. I'm happy you had done more than just one sig aswell, thanks for that. And by looking at them, you followed the tutorial pretty well. You also did well with the text on all of them, except they look a little blurred, but that's fine, it's probaly because that font isn't really ment for that size. Well I don't think so.. But anyways, really great job man, you should be proud, I know I am .

I'll try and get the tutorial for tools ready for the both of you tomorrow or the day after. Oh and yous won't have to wait for ages like last time, I promise I'll get it done as soon as I can. Thank you for doing the tutorial.

Ok, well..I'm not going to be on ZU much anymore. Things are getting busier, and honestly ZU does take up a lot of time. I'll try and get that tut to yous though, since it was a promise. I really do apologise about all this. If yous want, yous can pull out and get another teacher to teach yous. That would be totally understandable. Once again, I'm really sorry about this.

Hi, I'm looking into becoming a Student of yours. I want to learn Sig and Picture making, and mainly within that, I want to learn how to swirl the background and stuff.

Beyond that, my name is Jasper. yay.

Oh yeah, I'm already pretty good at Sig-making.
