Gah, sorry all. Girlscouts, huge school projects, failing classes, and now in the middle of finals for school. Therefore I haven't been on my computer in a few weeks. Many sorries.

Mithra's eye - (Did you change your name?) Um, try working with smaller sizes. It's usually easier to work with small stuff, and it's easier to see it clearly.

*counts* Apparently there are now eight people here… Righto, time to start getting organized. (Oh yes, I’ve passed 9th grade, but be glad that I didn’t get thrown offline for life.)

Alrighty, let’s go down the list of names and see who’s where.

Windy – Windy, I think you said you had gotten GIMP. Are you figuring that out now, and are you still in this class or are you going to stop using Paint? (I’ll PM you about this if you don’t reply in a few days)

HG – Something tells me you’re dead. I’ll PM you as well if you don’t reply within a few days.

OoT Link – Redo the questions from the first post. I don’t want HG’s answers, I want your answers in your own words. I was just looking through to organize and thought it was kinda odd that both of you had Word Perfect, which claims to have an MS Word mode, but still had word on mom’s computer, and could get to it if needed. When I looked again I realized that you simply copied her answers. Do something other then copy and paste. Your dishonesty and lies are really starting to get on my nerves. Anymore of this and you’ll probably end up out of this homeroom.
EDIT: Nevermind, you've managed to get yourself banned. Since your post was deleted, I'll guess that that's andi's way of casting you out.

Mithra’s eye – Alrighty, let’s see something smaller that you’ve done. In Paint, it’s easiest to work with small, and larger images hurt eyes and slow computers, so smaller pictures would be much appreciated.

Chari – I’m working on it. I’ll give you something to do soon. Do you know how to do scanlines yet?

Smeezette – Mkay, here’s a simple thing for you to start with. Some of the stuff I’m sure you’ll know already, but let’s see what you can do with it.

I’ll try to get an actual assignment up soon, it’s just that yesterday I had started thinking and realized another photoshop-ish thing that might be possible, so read what I said up there, do whatever you’re supposed to be doing, and I’m still trying to get organized. Expect at least a little bit more activity here soon.

Alrighty, sorry that my memory is bad. Chari, here's a little assignment for you. Take an image and take a background. Then combine the two into a signature in three different ways/styles. This probably won't be too hard for you...

Anyways, just lemme know if you're still alive. I WOULD have something new typed up by now, but some idiot decided to turn off my computer therefore erasing an unsaved file. So as soon as I stop whining about them turning off my computer and losing stuff for me I'll get it all typed up and make all of you suffer by testing it.

Teacher Dog Dog got lazy, and then got eaten by school work. And is probably failing English. Anyways, go get those mushrooms off your version of paint Chari, and see what you come up with.

And the teacher with quite a short attention span shall go back to trying to get back on track with doing whatever I was doing before we all disappeared.

Go make something! Just to get used to Paint again.

Just click on the thumbnail. Imageshack is being retarded and I don't feel like getting a photobucket account yet (I'm leaving my house in a few minutes, so deal).

Anyways, the only thing I would complain about is that you have a dark spot from the picture under the M and that the picture looks alittle bit messy around the leaves, which is probably just because of the picture, so I won't complain. Anyways, good to see you can still make things after having mushrooms growing on your program.

Photobucket or imageshack works just as well if you know how to work them. And my only problem is that thumbnails tend to freeze my computer. You're saving as .png, right? Sorries, my brain is scrambled, can't remember who's doing what...




MINI LESSON OF THE DAY

Alrighty Chari, let's start you on something new! And yes, this part is easy, but it's for something harder.

Anyways, a gradient is going from one color to another. In Photoshop it's a nice little button with all it's fun options and it does a wonderful job.

Paint, of course, doesn't have this. So again we improvise! ^_^



There you have the difference between what most attention spans allow from Paint and from Photoshop. As you can see, the Photoshop one is smooth and flows well. The paint one is choppy and has obvious changes between the colors. Which works well depending on what you're doing. So, pick a color and make me a gradient. Just do a box of whatever preset color, then a lighter box and a lighter one and a lighter one and keep on going with different shades of the same color. And lemme know when you finish it.

And yes, it's fairly easy to do, but you need to do it for the next part, which actually requires artistic ability, which I used up all of earlier today while making puppets.
