Hyrule posts XCFs for y'all.

Yeah; inspired by Frozen's thread. If you guys want me to post some XCFs for some of my signature/large works, I will. Just request which ones you want and do not claim as your own or I will brutally murder you using thirty feet of rope, a lamp, a stapler, an incredible amount of a corn starch+water mixture, and a razor. never be your friend again.

I fell dumb for asking but what are XCFs?

You can save your sig as an xcf. It preserves layers, but you can't upload it. I save all my sigs as xcf's until I have the final product, which will obviously be a png.

Those are amazing... I used some stuff from your xcfs and made a sig with them. I have actually learned alot from them...

Nice; that was attention. And it's nice to know that my XCFs are at least semi-followable, since I move my layers around and don't label them or anything.

Yeah, and I noticed that you use some of the same C4Ds in alot of your sigs, where do you get them from?

i've gotten them from all over the place; gimp talk has some good topics on fractal packs and whatnot.

I almost always apply Jitter, and mess around with the brush dynamics The brushes I use are called Crazy Smudge Brushes... found em in a tutorial somewhere on GimpTalk.

They're just zip/rar files containing images (fractals), but you don't have to install them or anything.

yeah, just uncompress into a folder or something

I have mine set in the pattern folder. Pasting them in with the fill tool doesn't work, but opening the original image and copying it into the sig works well.
