I agree with this, Nintendo has done a good job on puzzles lately. In fact, I find the 3D puzzles to be harder or at least more clever than the 2D puzzles.

Unfortunately, you do fight a lot in Zelda and that's where the difficulty is lacking. We have all these fancy moves in 3D Zelda but the enemies are essentially braindead anyway, so it doesn't matter how you kill them.

personally, I find AoL to be the most challenging, maybe because its a scroller. also, the older ones seem harder because of the camera angle.

remember that in the first NES Zelda, each dungeon had to be found; some without clues of where they are.
