These are all signs of a series that has been going too long. The Zelda series is getting old and stale in it's ways, lacking creative bosses, characters, and lands.
I think the series should end. With the next game, in fact, I'm hoping the series will end, to be replaced by a spiritual successor (Think Prince of Persia to Assassin's Creed) that can be enjoyed much more, both by those developing it and playing it.
The game play can all be changed, the lore won't affect the story anymore, allowing for more open, branching story lines, the characters won't be as overused and can be filled with life, in contrast to our current cast of Zelda regulars.
What do you guys think?

Okay timeline arguements have existed since
OOT. Here we are a decade later and it's stilling go so no that's not a legitimate reason.
What theories are you referring to?
Ever read Tolkien?
Just get rid of the Nostalgia factor okay not get rid of but lessen it. They just need to find the perfect balance between creativity and tradition.
TP leaned more towards Tradition but that was to offset WW. Actually
TP and WW can be considered the
OOT and MM of the GCN. On is new and different and the other uses the traditional Zelda formula. Spiritual sucessor is a lame idea. If the lore doesn't affect the story anymore than technically you're just taking away what makes Zelda so intriguing. Okay what Zelda rergulars besides the Triforce bearers did
TP have? Anyway it seems like all of that can be accomplished without just stripping Zelda of what makes it Zelda.
