Ending the series

I have to say, The Zelda Series just needs a reboot, it still has too many unexplained scenerios and events to end....Like the seal War.....the divine prank..... and a video of the flooding of hyrule.....

This is true.

Zelda fans are some of the most idiotic fans on the planet. Nintendo need only put the Zelda brand on a game, and it'll sell millions on release day.

well, that's the curse we zelda fans bear. Until we hit the perfect zelda we will always have faith that the next will become better or as you said "next time, they'll do it right!". Hopefully if the series does end, it ends in an epic way and the final song (outro) would be the same as the one in OOT but made to sound 100 times sadder that way, no one will ever forget zelda.

but I think that will never happen cause Miyamoto lost his creativity long ago, and he is probably scared to create a new game

Remakes would be great, but I don't think he's lost his creativity though. If the series really wants to go out with a bang they should re-make Older versions of the game as well as one last game in which you confront ganondorf/ganon once and for all in a seriously epic battle and take his triforce of power as well as zelda's triforce of wisdom, return peace to Hyrule and then thats it......

Imo Miyamoto is nothing compared to Ueda
why? cause Ueda take around 4 years to create a new game, and he implement a new system in every game, he makes every new game special in a way
while Miyamoto just create zelda games using the same formula from before
and when a new game is out you know it'll be just another zelda game, nothing special

I like it and hate it at the same time. It just sound slike something we expect to happen... (plus that's sort of how it ended in AoL and ALttP, as well.) As funny as this may sound, I just CAN'T picture a FINAL and EPIC battle which doesn't look cliche.

One idea I had for an ending, would be the destroying of the Triforce through some manner. (Maybe Link or Zelda could wish it to be destroyed?) AND having Hyrule redeemed, (not the guilt-ridden kingdom with a bloody and shady history as in OoT).

Maybe Ganondorf would reveal why he wants to take over Hyrule, to find that he only did it to make the kingdom prosper as well as bring Gerudo's to healthy living. And the series could end in Ganondorf succeeding, and actually doing a good job as ruler (having an eye on him by Link, or something like that.) <----Major fanfic.

On another note, I also agree in making remakes of older gamnes, sort of like a countdown to the final, epic conclusion.

Good thinking but, if under any circumstances Link allows ganondorf to rule Hyrule (willingly) and for some reason he becomes good, I swear to GOD that I will burn and destroy my whole zelda collection!!! statues and all sorts!! what would be the point??? all those hours wasted....it's like having the final episode of Tom & Jerry and Tom and Jerry live happily ever after, see my point?

maybe a game like Legacy of Kain Defiance would be awesome
half of the game you play with Ganon and the other half with Link
and in the end they join forces to kill a more evil being, that Ganon was trying to defeat for quite some time

I know where you are coming from! I meant to say that Ganondorf doesn't rule like he did before, he tries to rule by force, but then Link thwarts him, later on Link learns of Hyrule's bloody and corruptive past to accept the fact that his country isn't exactly innocent. Perhaps just about as "innocent" as Ganondorf himself?

I'm not talking about a giant misundertsanding, (WHAT? you were good the WHOLE time???? I tried to kill you hundreds of times, you could have said something!!) ...No. I meant give Ganondorf an overhaul of character developement, make him see the error of his ways, the impact he had on Hyrule.

they made the phantom sword, hopefully they will make something better though, as for Aura pulse, LOL @ the you should have said something part, I understand where your coming from and it is a good idea, maybe even ganondorf could have been possessed by something no? he still is evil but as you said could have originally caused bloodshed and terror just for the sake of the Gerudo, yet he was possessed by something which made him even more blood thirst and him and Link could combat it, then once that force is destroyed, him and Link could have a final showdown?

The phantom sword looked almost identical to the Master Sword, and it did the same basic thing, kill the final boss. The MS is iconic because it reapperared and transported you through time.

Something along those lines. I would even get a cool feeling if Ganondorf ever came around and said "You....you look like the boy in the window...." And this would also give Link the full story from his side, and the ORIGINAL view of Ganondorf. I like the idea of him being "intoxicated" byt he Triforce, as it were.

EDIT: Forgive me, I got carried away with fanfic I forgot to give my opinion on this thread! I do not think Zelda needs to end now, I still see many possibilities they can use with games. Do I expect a comepletely new gameplay concept every game nowadays? No. But isn't that the reason why we love Zelda? We don't NEED new gameplay styles every game, (save for story, weapons, etc.)

How about no. The series can evolve, change and go in other directions. The potential is there and im sure they will get around to it. Also Nintendo still makes plenty of money off of Zelda, why would they end the series if its profitable?

Dang. Things are getting serious. I can see both sides of this argument though. If it were to end there better be a nice ass replacement... And if there wasn't I would be totally bummed. But because The Legend of Zelda is by far my favorite series I don't want it to end. But it does need to be targeted more to an adult audience. That would make it so much better.

Ending the series would be terrible

Making other swords would be dumb, from a historical standpoint. If a country such as Hyrule had all these sacred swords, it would just be kind of.... stupid. The Master Sword is the relic of Hyrule, that and the Triforce, having all these other replacements would just belittle it. And I have a feeling the 4 Sword and the Triforce are eventually going to be tied together anyway.
