Re: My poster... Finally done!
I think you should add more things. The plain white spaces look, well, plain.
You should try to fill the whole thing. Try characters or items or something like that. Now I'd give it a B. It could only get better, I think. |

Re: My poster... Finally done!
Awesome! I really like it. You're a pretty good artist. Your two main problems seem to be flow and the background. Let me explain:
The background is easy. It's plain white and just needs filling. Even if you just color it all in black/green/whatever, that's still more attractive than white, which reminds us of, well, blank paper. The flow: In a picture, composition is important. The way your eye travels determines a lot. You want to try and lead the eye around on the page so that it never wanders away from the picture. Let me stress that I'm no expert at this. In fact, I suck at it. But just because I can't do it doesn't mean I don't know what I'm supposed to do... poster.jpg See the arrows? I went a little crazy with them, but basically I'm pointing out what leads the eye where. The bird in the middle leads off to everything, see? Putting in the middle was a really good idea. But the medallions go nowhere because they're just kind of...there. I circled those kinds of places in green. (Oh, MSPaint. I love you.) Basically it's supposed to be like drawing a maze with no way out. You'll notice some of your arrows point off the edge of the paper. That's bad! Then we stop looking at your work. (I'm guilty of doing this too, though, so don't take this too hard. It's next to impossible to get right. ^^; ) The trick to working on your composition is to draw a rough outline of what you want on, say, notebook paper first. Don't worry about details - just draw basic stick figures and circles and such. When you're done, take a second sheet of notebook paper (so you can see the drawing underneath) and add arrows like I did here where you see places that the eye might go (the eye tends to follow lines and curves more, I believe). If you see any arrows the lead off the page, or go nowhere, or see an area that needs leading too, revise it. Don't start drawing on your final poster until you know where you want everything to go, because it's hard to revise it once it's on paper. (That's part of why I prefer digital work.) Don't get me wrong, you have a great poster here! Your Link and Kaepora Gaebora look better than the real thing. (: Also, putting Link in the bottom like that was brilliant - our eyes automatically look up towards the "sky". I'd work a bit on your castles - try making them more curvy and less geometric - but that's really all you have to worry about. You're doing great work, so keep it up!

Re: My poster... Finally done!
Look at my poster thread for more adice. Graphical design it, because sometimes hand drawing something isn't the best way to go.

Re: My poster... Finally done!
Put them behind things, like you put the Light Medallion behind the Zelda logo.

You might also try putting the sword through the Zelda logo to give an up-down kind of direction.

Re: My poster... Finally done!
I'm thinking even filling that space with a sky and some clouds would even look nice. Just to fill in the white.

Re: My poster... Finally done!
with the triforce (and the bird thing under it) the white looks nice with so how about i just put a light blue on the entire thing but make it look faded around and away from the triforce?
