Has anyone played through a Zelda game without a guide?

I never used advice or cheap guides until after I beat all guides.I only used one in the wind temple in TWW and I didn't prosper from that at all I just wasted a half an hour for nothing.I use guides now but I didn't when I was first playing it lol it took me about a good 3 days to beat the water temple in OoT.

Nope. I'd always get stuck on a dungeon, and need a guide.
Ah, well.

I used a guide on OoT and MM (I was about 8-9 years old back then). I didn't use a guide at all in TP, it was pretty straightforward.

i take great pride in saying that i've never and i mean never used a zelda guide.

MM, I got the guide literally the day after I beat it 100%. I didn't use a guide for LoZ, AoL, TWW, TP, FSA, TMC, or PH either.

I used one when I was really little on OoA and LttP, but now I don't need them... Especially not on PH (eew)

I beat all the LoZ games that I've played without a stategy guide except TP. I didn't actually need it but I bought one anyway.

I beat TP easily without a strategy guide. I haven't gotten all the heart containers and poes but still.

I've beaten every Zelda game I've beaten without that stuff except OoT. Yeah, I know. But the Water Temple was HARD!

Well, I dont need a guide to beat the main quest. But I sometimes get frustrated looking for a heart piece and have to take a glance at a guide.

it's pretty hard not to use a guide for a zelda game because they have you running back and forth doing side quests and other stuff. which are usually confusing and sometimes hard to do without a guide.

no no me i've never had any help playing one zelda game belive me it takes forever but then again you really have more respect for the designers of the games i've played from links awakening all to twlight princess without guides or internet still doind phantom hourglass even now.......................and no i don't want any help!!!

I didnt use a guide on Majoras Mask, but i have used one on the rest that i have (Oot, TP, and WW)

You're kidding, right? Playing through TP with a guide? Uhhh... yeah.
The only zelda games I've used a guide to beat were zelda 2 and MM.

I beat Oot without a guide. and i would have beaten TP with out one either but i got all the way to the boss door in the temple of time and forgot the boss key and i didnt want to do a lot of searching for it so i took a little peak just to find out where it was.

my little cousin doesnt even try to do anything with out a guide. she prints out walkthroughs and follows them doing nothing on her own... that is so pointless

speaking of guide i found an old Oot guide in my dresser and it is so cool! most of you probably have it! its the one with link holding a bow and arrow on the cover. its really nostaligic to look through that thing

I never use guides. I do collect them, though. I especially like the hardcover one for Twilight Princess. I used to have this really huge guide for A Link to the Past- had a spiral spine, so of course, the pages ripped and fell out over the years. I haven't been able to find another one. :/

I also need a new Ocarina of Time guide- the old N64 version- and its manual. I see lots of 'em on eBay. I'll eventually scrape some money together and buy them. The one I had before... the pages just fell out. Cheap junk. :/
