Does Anyone Else Find This A Teeny Bit Weird?

I was playing OOT yesterday, and I realized Talon looks like Mario (red shirt, overalls) and Ingo looks like Luigi (green shirt, overalls) plus, Talon and Malon wear Bowser brooches. I dont know if this was on perpose or not, it just seems a little weird to me, and it reeks of Super Mario

you JUST noticed that? goodness when i first played the game i was convinced it was them, just taller. haha. and they -are- brothers, aren't they?
i think it's obviously some little easter egg thing or something. games seem to do that constantly, like in certain sega arcade racing games there's like sonic rock formations in the background and stuff.
twas just nintendo reminding their little gamers of their other friendly characters i suppose :)

Good lord, you hadn't notice this until now? Have you ever actually, uh, played the game before?

It's just a little easter egg thrown in by the developers. Miyamoto is involved in both Zelda and Mario, after all, and they're two of Nintendo's most successful franchises.

There's also pictures of the whole Mario cast if you look through one of the windows of Hyrule Castle in Zelda's Courtyard.

The creator of Mario Bros. also created Zelda. It's common for game designers to make references to their other characters in another video games that they made

I first realised that when I played it like for the 3rd time. It was so embarrassing!

My inner troll just wants to yell, "NO" followed by a lot of mean stuff ;_;

But I don't find it weird in the least bit. With every year, Nintendou's creativity disappears even more :3

Well, you never know. Truth be told, I would have thought the connections between Talon and Ingo and Mario and Luigi to be more obvious than the window thing.

You gotta be joking... You have over 1,000 posts and you never came across one of these threads? I found a thread about this the very same day I joined ZU... So yeah... Very old news.

Yeah, I noticed that a long time ago.

Nintendo did indeed incorporate other game titles into the Zelda series. One example would be Malon and Talon of Lon Lon Ranch; plus the Bowser broaches. Another clear cut example is when your a child and have to go visit the princess. Before you talk to her go to the right of left window and press the UP-C button. When you look into the window you see pictures of Mario, Luigi, Peach, Bowser, and I think Yoshi. If thats not a dead give away, i dont know what is? That means the Super Mario characters are royalty.
