A Link To The Past Comic

The Zelda Manga of OOT, OOA, OOS, and MM have been released in the US for some time now. But does anybody remember the A Link To The Past comic?

http://www.zeldadungeon.net/Manga.php

(It's the first comic in the list)

Should that one be released in the US as well?

Dude, I remember when those comics originally came out in the 12 issues of Nintendo Power magazine in 1992. Between that and the Super Mario Adventures comics also in the magazine in all 12 issues that year, I would literally wait in my front yard or be looking out the window, just waiting for the mailman to come so I could see if I got my latest NP issue. Ah, memories...

As it turns out, the comics were released in book form back in 1993, but unfortunately it's long since gone out of print--and even Amazon has just one copy, for over $100.

I think it would be neat if they were to reprint not only the A Link to the Past comic but the Super Mario Adventures comic from that same year as well (NP also had a Super Metroid comic throughout 1993), but I doubt it would bring in enough money for anyone to justify such a project, unfortunately.

EDIT:
For what it's worth, Akira Himekawa's LttP manga will be coming out in February 2010.

I used to have the NP issues too. Like Rew said, the Super Mario World comic was being ran at the same time in NP issues in those days. I dont remember the Super Metroid one! and I should! HMMM...

Re: A Link To The Past Comic

I hate myself for getting rid of ALL my Nintendo Power issues in high school, foolishly believing I had "outgrown" that sort of thing. ;___________;

(Oh, and I looked on Amazon.com for Super Mario Adventures... One copy. $2,500. HOLY $*&#^.) And yeah, there was a Super Metroid comic for a few issues in 1993 (not quite "throughout" the year, as I thought earlier ). I have to lawl at Samus' purple hair, though.

Anyway, there are places online where you can find all three comics for free viewing, but you'll have to find them yourself.

Yeah i only had a few issues of the NP though (only like three) and yeah i tossed em or they got lost years ago.
I really cant believe they want that much money for those! I had no idea they were such collector's items!

Re: A Link To The Past Comic

They are apparently! But those are the books with just the comics in them--not actual NP issues.

But yeah, I had a massive NP collection. I started subscribing sometime around 1991 and had a subscription going until probably 1994 or maybe even 1995. I even garnered a great many of the back issues and may have gone all the way back to the first issue from 1989. All those volumes filled up an entire bookshelf.

So sad that I just tossed them out one day during my moralistic teenage phase.
