New Ganondorf

Okay, so Link and Zelda both have a thread like this already, so just to be fair, how would you improve Ganondorf.

I would say instead of being evil evil evil, give Ganondorf more personality. For example, Batman's Joker has an interesting personality, why can't Link's greatest foe have one?

I would make him impale some villagers and hang them up in his back yard.

And then I'd make him kill Zelda.

After which I'd develop his personality and show that he is indeed a madman.

And I'd make him really menacing. Really, really menacing. Moreso than he's been the last few games.

A more frequent and personal adversary to Link. They don't have to be childhood enemies, just nothing like in TP where the first time Link lays eyes on him is before the final battle. -_-"

He definately has to be deeper into links life and more psychotic...

Yes. It never seems like he has an impact on link. They kind of tried in OoT, but not very much.
And i'm ok with him being evil evil evil. They just need to back that up with actually making him do more evil things. They are always so vauge when it comes to Ganondorf and the things he does.

He would have to be menacing, such as kid-napping village girls and... yea you know where I am going with this. Also threatening to destroy villages, Kill people, exc. Just make him an evil bastard that you WANT to kill. And not just to rescue Zelda.

OOOH! Just thought of one that will make him more of a personal adversary: Make a version that is indeed Link's Father.

Whoa whoa whoa...Ganon? Link's dad?

A. Ganondorf is a Gerudo, Link is a Hylian.
B. Even if Link were a Gerudo, one is only born every hundred years.

I'll be honest; that would KILL the plot for me. If Ganon was anyone's dad, I would vote Midna. Because she looks very Gerudo-ish, and the way she verbally swung at him was a little personal. But even so, I don't think Ganon should have offspring.

Maybe some kind of mentor who defects or something. I don't know, I've been thinking way too much about Snake Eater recently.

Improving Ganondorf is a fairly easy thing to do.

1. Expand on his feelings about the Gerudo and their fate. Since that was his initial motivation for taking over the world, their demise or existance should be an important part of Ganondorfs personality.

2. His relationship with past heroes. What does he think of the heroes after having his ass handed to him for the umpteenth time.

3. The Triforce, specifically the Triforce of Power. How much of him is tied to it, what would he do without it, etc.

4. More appearances throughout the game. Regardless of anything, Ganondorf needs more then one monologue before the final battle, perhaps even a dialogue or some ass kicking.

Well, I think it'd be great, if you'd know more about Ganondorf. That includes dialogues and personality too. I mean, all games you just kill them, because he's the bad guy. And you don't know anything about him. For example, why is he bad. There are many ways to make a villain cooler.

This is explained in both WW, TP, OoX, LA, aLttP, TMC and more.

However, this is usually the good old, "i has power, i want world" kinda story, with exception of WW (and to a minor degree TP and LA).

I say a psycotic bender of emotions. for example when link walks into the boss room for a certain battle he sees zelda at the guillotine with ganondorf holding the rope followed by him dropping the blade of said guillotine. the beginning of the boss battle is shown by zelda's body rising to the ceiling turning into a lump of shadows and she then rises from the shadow as a "dark zelda" thing requiring link to kill zelda and only by killing ganondorf can link revive zelda. though for this to affect link zelda must be a childhood friend.

He should have a super fight-scene. Like, just show him destroying whole cities and killing people while doing flips and anything else. That would improve him by a-lot.

Actually, yes, that is something that should be done. Have Ganondorf appear as a villain throughout the game and have the two meet in between.

He needs to have a henchman on his side throughout a game. And towards the end he just kills him out of pure anger not even thinking twice. It's that kind of short scene that makes me think, man, Ganondorf really is evil.

Im thinking he should have more of a personal vengence for link, i mean he does keep pwning him or traping him in evil realms.
He needs to kill some people, freinds or family, someone must die to give link a real reason to hate him, no?

I'd make a deeper in depth background on him. Right now he's just a madman who stumbled upon the Triforce of Power and lived in a desert.

Make him more sinister and evil. Make him mass murder a ton of people or even torment Link. Ganny needs to man up.
He already is evil and tough, but he's not the definition of fear.
