Is it just me, or are Zelda and Link becoming just friends???

Okay, let's get one thing straight. Zelda + Link = someone like Colin. Just look at Rusl and Colins mom, Uli. Rusl + Uli = Colin. Colin = a very scared boy, who is too afraid to get anything right. If Link and Zelda ever got married and had children, that is exactly what would happen. Also, Everyone wants them to fall in love. In my opinion, That would be completely overrated.. I can see Link, falling in love with someone like Ilia or Malon, but not someone like Zelda. So yes, I guess they are becoming just friends and nothing more.

Or, we could go with plan B, and have our silent protagonist stay single.

Pairing Link up with anybody would just turn the games into pseudo-fanfics.

I agree, the Zelda-Link thing is way overrated. Link should have more opprotunities.

Link's silent because it helps the player feel like they're the hero. He's their link to the game. If he were to talk, it would be just as stupid as pairing him up with some trollop.

While going with plan B would solve this argument, more would come up. Like for example: Why wasn't link paired up? Who should he of been paired up with.

You're not getting what i'm saying. I'm saying if he stays single people who feel he should be with someone will ask those questions and stuff. But either way we will still have this argument. I think this thread is getting kinda stupid.

Exactly, the question of this thread is silly. The player puts his own personality onto Link, so his relationship with any of the women is in the mind of the player. For instance, I spent all of TP wishing Midna would get mauled by a large grizzly bear, so by extension Link would too.

Someone should lock this. The Romance Threads have already gone over this subject many times before.
