Re: Do YOUR parents play Zelda?
My dad plays video games but not Zelda. It's almost only Ace Combat (any of them), Far Cry 2, MGS (any of them), or some new shootan game.
Though now he seems to enjoy promiscuous activity with younger women more than videya. :'-(

Re: Do YOUR parents play Zelda?
My mother got a DS and Phantom Hourglass, she has finally beaten it. I wanted to get her to play the Windwaker before I move out so I could translate stuff for her, but she hasn't decided for it yet. I just find pretty neat she enjoyed a lot playing with it.

Re: Do YOUR parents play Zelda?
My dad played OoT for a while, but we can’t really see eye to eye when it comes to video games. He just wants to shoot everything with a gun, or something. He doesn’t have enough patience for the plot, dialogue, or swordplay in a Zelda game.
My mother seriously and sincerely believes that if I continue to play video games, I’ll never amount to anything. She couldn’t tell an A button from an artichoke. Solitaire is an epic battle, in her opinion. Ah, well. I have awesome, Zelda-playing cousins. They bought me a Nintendo 64 and OoT for my birthday a looong time ago, and there you go.

Re: Do YOUR parents play Zelda?
My parents (or the ones I live with at least) hate video games. They let me play them, but only for a limited time per day. They also tell me they don't care when I try to talk to them about try to get me to talk about something else.
My uncle, Now in his forty's, played the original Zelda all the way through six times. the first time he said it took him over a year, the next time a few months, and it got shorter and shorter each time. I've spent over a year playing it and just about two months ago found the entrance to the first dungeon. I've gotten to the boss, but haven't beaten him. How people can beat this game in a few days is beyond me. *sigh* I wish I was that good.

Re: Do YOUR parents play Zelda?
My dad played games in the early nineties. He got me into Zelda with a Link to the Past. I still remember him flicking his fingers at me to demonstrate how many more rupees I needed to get the flippers, so many ;_____;
After the middle of it he sorta stopped, and I inherited all his gaming systems! He was the primary encourager of getting my games, my mom hated them until a year or two ago. My mother apparently was a tetris fiend in the mid to late eighties, and with the Wii has shown a renewed interest in games. I've been toying with the idea of getting her into Zelda actually, starting with Wind Waker, and moving onto 'harder' games. My dad will still play games from time to time, mostly shooters. We competed on beating the campaigns on WaW together actually. I still won.

Re: Do YOUR parents play Zelda?
It's funny because it's my Mum that plays Zelda. My Dad bought me it when I was a kid and me and my mum played Ocarina through.
My Dad doesn't play games really. My Mum has always done, we used to spend hours on the Sega Megadrive [she loves Lemmings, Sonic and Earthworm Jim, hah!]

Re: Do YOUR parents play Zelda?
No, they aren't. My dad is a bit of interested in video games, but my mum don't like them at all (except Dr. Mario, that's the only game she liked, but nowadays she doesn't play with that... :/), but she understand we (my bro and me) love them.
ZALTAR: Wow, awesome! Does your daughter play with them, too? ^^
