Re: Do YOUR parents play Zelda?
Great topic!
My dad was suuuper into gaming back when I was little, which is probably why I like it now. The only Zelda game he played was Adventure of Link, but my sisters and I would sit there with him and try to figure it out together. =333 He had to map out Death Mountain. Goood times. Worse than Zelda, though, was Dr. Mario. Not so much anymore though. When I got Twilight Princess, my dad saw me fishing and was really intrigued by it. First he told me how to do it because apparently he knew better (he likes fishing irl), and then he thought htey got some things wrong, and then he took the controls from me and sat there for, like, half an hour. Ahh, he finally found a video game to suit his age!

Re: Do YOUR parents play Zelda?
My Dad is the reason I never got to play MY Link's Awakening for the first year I owned it. I remember opening it up on Christmas morning, not really knowing how special it was at the time. After the gifts were all opened my Dad took my game, my brother's Gameboy Colour and became addicted to it.

"he gets bored of them he plays oot over and over tho strange :S"
that's sooooooooooo totally my Dad too! I was surprised when he called about WW yesterday ![]() "I WISH my parents were that cool!! ... Dude, your dad is AWESOME." You know...I certainly think my dad is awesome, for many reasons beyond Zelda, but yes including the zelda fandom, but every time I mention this to pretty much anyone else, they just stare blankly at me for a minute like my dad has some kind of mental problem or something. I don't get it. How about you guys? Do other people think your parents/relatives are too old for Zelda/videogames?

Re: Do YOUR parents play Zelda?
My father doesn't care about video games in the slightest.
My mother just recently began playing larger adventure games. She's playing Super Mario 64 and Rayman 2: The Great Escape. She loves Zelda games, so I'm quite sure she'll get to playing one of those too.

Well. I can't really say. But you can NEVER be too old to play Zelda.

Re: Do YOUR parents play Zelda?
When I was about 7, I got a N64 with OoT and Super Mario 64 at christmas.
My father and one of his friends went completely nuts over OoT. They played the game 10+ each day for several weeks before completing it (neither of them were used to video games) and I barely got to touch it . But since OoT he hasn't played any other zelda game.

My Parents Don's Play and Im Grateful
My parents do not lay video games AT ALL. And if they played the and Zelda they wouldn't know what to do; there heads may explode. Anyway Im glad because I would not want to explain it to them. I mena my sister tries to play it and thats bad enough and shes my age.

Re: Do YOUR parents play Zelda?
They do, the pre-3D games that is. Somehow anything 3D makes them confused.

Re: Do YOUR parents play Zelda?
My parents for a while thought video games were the devil... no, they don't play any video game! Not only that, but now they are a bit too old for most video games (my dads past 60 and my mom's following!

I do go back every now and then and tinker with codes for oot and mm, but i don't know if that really counts as playing... -_-; I can identify with this. dyslexia doesn't help you orient yourself when the camera does a 180, and your controls follow suit.
