links and links

how many of you thinks the links from all the games are descended from the first link (OoT/MM) ??:rolleyes:

I'd say all Links decended form the Link before them.

No, because the Link in The Wind Waker is said to not be related in any way to the one in Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask.

No I don't believe so, as Sear said, it has actually been said in the WW. Although it would be nice to say that each Link is from the same bloodline.

I'd say no, somewhere on this forum I read something about that ww link is a REINCARNATION of the oot link.

guess that's possible too.
buti still think they're descendants of OoT link.

It is clearly stated in WW that he is of no relation to OoT, please tell me how this makes him a decendant? and royal bloodlines tend to remain "pure' so
yes, Zelda would be a decendant of OoT Zelda.

well i think there is some relation. that is the question what do you THINK.

all the links are related because the descendants of link and zelda were send ontop of a tall mountain before the great flood. so link is related to link, who is related to link and so-on

No, good Hylians were sent there, but as far as the legend goes Link left (probably for Termina) and never returned... so for your idea to work he would have had to come back with no one recongnising the hero that saved them all... marry someone, and have a kid... All the while keeping his identity a secret...

what i think is that there are a lot of links but just one soul. So it's like reincarnations of OoT link. It's like just one link. Every time hyrule (or another land) needs help, he is reincarnated to help the land, same with Zelda.

BTW that reminds me, a friend once told me that there was more that one ganon, however i don't think this is true.

I don't believe that every Link is a descendant of the previous Link. It's almost impossible, or else we would know who Link's father will be, unless WW2 pulls a Star Wars and Ganondorf is really his father.

No, there is no way that they are all related, or decendants. It has alreadsy been said, I was going to say it anyway even if it hadn't, about how in The Wind Waker it was stated that that Link "has no connection to the legendary one." It is fate that connects them, not that they are decendants of each other.

I have no idea about all the other games, but like many have said in this thread, WW Link is not related. I had to put "noo!".

I think that no other link is related to oot link, but that all the proceeding links descend from ww link.

I tend to believe that all Links are related. Why? In A Link to the Past one of the Sages' descendents mentions that Link is the last of the Knight's or Heroic bloodline. This means that Link was at least a descendent of the knights of Hyrule. At most, Link was a descendent of every legendary hero.

hmmm I dont have much of an idea on this one. I would like to say they were realated but somehow I dont think they are. All of the Zelda's are realated arn't they? cause its the royal bloodline. But I think that Link is just a random person chosen to be the hero, but I really dont have a strong opinion on this

I really don't have much to say, but if you're like me I hate it when people vote but don't post. I believe they are different because of WW. Though this topic would be really interesting if it had been pre-wind waker.
