I like playing Zelda mostly in 3D, due to the fact that the worlds seem bigger, and it's more of an adventure. Which the Zelda series is all about.

What would a game in 4-D look like, anyway?

I was playing TP with the windows open once. I was riding Epona in Hyrule field while it was raining in game. The wind from outside was blowing all over the room. It felt amazing.

Question Retsnef... why is 2-D not a clickable option...when its apart of the tittle ...id reather stick to 2-d and 3-D because i fear 4-D would end up being only cool, part of time kinda like the wii-mote in my eyes.

I'd like actual 4d. You know, another plane perpendicular to the other 3. Up, down, left, right, forwards, backwards, ana, kata... It would be trippy. Of course, you can see this as two connected 3d planes. Heh, they already did it. Dark world, anyone? Oh wait, that's from a 2D game. Twilight Realm! Of course, others see time as a fourth dimension... OoT! I don't, though. So... Majora's Mask! The entire thing! That would explain a lot...


On topic, now. I wouldn't mind 4D that much, I guess. Water temple would be kinda dangerous, what with the no breathing thing. I find it curious that 3D isn't a part of the title anywhere.

This is no contest. 4-D would win all the way. Being able to feel the changes all around you is much, much better than to see a plain 2D environment, seriously.

Do you know how much it would cost for a Zelda game to be in 4-D (Both the cost of developing it, and the cost of purchasing it)?

It's not going to be in 4-D.

With 2-D, more effort could actually be put into the game. If it was 4-D, it would have to be an arcade game unless they add some accessory to the controller that blows wind at you .
