Can you play any Zelda song(s) on a musical instrument?

Yeah, I'm just wondering.
I can only play some Zelda songs on the piano.
One of them is Midna's Desperate Hour. I can only play it with one hand at a time, but with a little practise I should be able to play the whole song with both hands.
I know that this thread don't have so much discussion material, but at least I tried.
And maybe we also can help each other to learn zelda songs on a certain instrument. Just a suggestion.
It will be interesting to see if this thread will lead anywhere or if it will be locked..(If this thread is getting locked, then it is my third this year )

*raises hand* Ooh! Me! Me! I can too!
Well, not on the piano, but I can play some songs on the ocarina.
F0r one of them I listened to the whole song over and over so I could write down the notes so I could play it. The song of the picori festival, in TMC.

Re: Can you play any Zelda song(s) on a musical instrument?

yeah, I've picked some up on the piano. these are the ones I'm currently working on: Song of Storms, Song of Healing, the main theme, Hyrule Castle, Clocktown theme, the temple theme from AoL, etc. damn those accidentals in the main theme and Hyrule Castle.

I've pretty much mastered playing the Clocktown melody with the Day 3 undertones.

Re: Can you play any Zelda song(s) on a musical instrument?

We have an ocarina, so we can do all those little songs.

I can play several on my flute. I've made a few arrangements of Zelda songs.

Re: Can you play any Zelda song(s) on a musical instrument?

I can play a bunch of songs on the ocarina but... Has anyone heard of herbalcell.com/piano (second best site evah after ZU)? Someone has turned a LOT of Zelda songs into piano sheet music. I can play tons of Zelda songs on the piano. Anything from The Pirate's Theme (WW) to Gerudo Desert to Faron Woods. Since the flute is a "C" instrument, I can play most of those songs on the flute too. It's awesome.

Re: Can you play any Zelda song(s) on a musical instrument?

I'm learning to play some songs on piano. I can play Tatl & Tael pretty well, and the melody of Stone Tower. Beyond that, I kinda..suck so far, but then again I'm still a beginner

Re: Can you play any Zelda song(s) on a musical instrument?

I was able to play epona's song and Saria's song on the ocarina. Given that my musical ability does not exist, I would say that is a major accomplishment!

Re: Can you play any Zelda song(s) on a musical instrument?

I had an ocarina in my early years, but it didn't looked like an ocarina... I think, I should find it and learn all the songs But it looks like a pear, and it isn't blue =( It's color like the fairy ocarina. I could play on that quite good ^^

Re: Can you play any Zelda song(s) on a musical instrument?

Well I'm glad you asked!
I can play quiet a few on Piano (most are OoT):

Both Hands:
Minuet of Forest, Serenade of Water, Nocturne of Shadow, Requiem of Spirit, Song of Time, Sun's Song (lulz, SOOO EASY since the left hand isn't used), Song of Storms, Town Market, and Song of Healing

Right Hand only:
Bolero of Fire, Lost Woods/Kokiri forest

I figured out Lon Lon Ranch/Epona's Song for the right hand once, but that's it, and I never learned the Prelude of Light cause I got sick of the song.

Re: Can you play any Zelda song(s) on a musical instrument?

I know how to play alot of Zelda music on the piano, i just learn them by myself without using any sheets for music. They turn out to be exactly correct. I also know many other songs on the piano, some of it from Nintendo like SSBB and Luigis Mansion.

I also have an Ocarina (Smule Ipod touch application) lol XD. Its the same as a normal Ocarina, but a program. Right now ive learned a few songs on it. Some of them by myself like Requiem of Spirit and a few others.

Re: Can you play any Zelda song(s) on a musical instrument?

I play mainly the clarinet, with a bit on the keyboard so I have a variety of music.

Clarinet:
- Zelda's Lullaby, something not easy if you're going it's normal tempo and trying to play the high up notes at the same time.
- Hyrule Field Theme from TP, though pretty, not at all easy on my embouchure after playing the 16th-note runs over and over.

Keyboard:
- Zelda's Lullaby, as simple as you can put it in the right handed-ness. Curse not being able to read bass yet. >_<

I once was able to play Saria's song on my harmonica. Don't remember it anymore though. >P

Same here.

I can play almost all of the Zelda songs on the clarinet, given about 30 minutes to practice. I can also play most of them on the piano, but I'm not any good with it. I lost my ocarina a while ago, so I don't know what I can play on it...

there's a couple of tricks to reading bass clef.

the thing about the bass clef is that the line between the two dots is F. that's why the bass clef is also commonly called the F-clef.

there's one of those catchy sayings...if you take the letter from every line starting from the bottom, it spells GBDFA. the saying that corresponds is Good Boys Deserve Fudge Always. (the only problem with this is, there's a *very* similar saying for treble clef used the same way, so if you know both sayings, it gets confusing.)

0ther than that, it's just studying and practice. good ole wiki may help too. - they actually have more sayings and stuff to help you remember.
