Re: Can you play any Zelda song(s) on a musical instrument?

I can play Wind God's Aria, Earth God's Lyric, the overworld theme from LoZ, Midna's Lament/Desperate Hour, and most/all ocarina songs from OoT on the violin, piano, recorder, and cell phone. :I

(the only problem with this is, there's a *very* similar saying for treble clef used the same way, so if you know both sayings, it gets confusing.)

0ther than that, it's just studying and practice. good ole wiki may help too. - they actually have more sayings and stuff to help you remember.
*laughs* I know that much. ^_^ I learned that in 6th grade band class. Playing Clarinet though, I only play the Treble Clef, so reading Bass Clef isn't as easy for me.

Ocarina and guitar, but mainly piano. I'm only an amateur but I've been trying to play video game themes for a while now and unlike a year ago I can now at least play properly with my 2 hands, which adds so much more when you play.

Re: Can you play any Zelda song(s) on a musical instrument?

I can play a multitude of instruments:
Clarinet & bass clarinet, trumpet & cornet, trombone, tuba, sousaphone, celtic flute, pan flute, lyre & harp, ocarina, drums (tenors, snare, bass, bongos, timpani), bells (xylaphone, pipedream chimes, marimba), glass harmonica, piano & keyboard & organ. I'm trying to learn violin and guitar... but I haven't been practicing.

On all of these, I can play a multitude of Zelda songs. I prefer to play most of the music on the piano... it's just a lot more fun. I especially like to play the ALttP ending and ALttp credits. ALttP Dark World and Death Mountain (Dark World version) are on the top of my list, too. ALttP probably had the best music, IMO. I also really love the plain the main overworld theme... the Termina version of it is especially fun on the piano. Oh, and "Farewell Hyrule King" from TWW (also a piece heard in ALttp). Can't forget Gerudo Valley, either.

Songs like the Song of Storms, Ganon(dorf)'s theme, Song of Healing, and other songs with a lot of minor or harmonic chords are very fun to play on the organ. When it comes to TWW, I love sticking with the celtic flute. The intro is very fun to play, as well as the Molgera battle and the sailing music (also fun on piano).

One of the most versatile pieces is definitely OoT's ending music... it's very fun on the piano, but it's also enjoyable on everything else, be it low brass, woodwind, or anything else.

Unfortunately, very few pieces of TP's music moved me. I haven't really been inspired by Zelda music since TWW.

Re: Can you play any Zelda song(s) on a musical instrument?

Lately I've been learning to play the Castle Courtyard music and the Great Bay music on the piano.

I've done my own arrangements of many pieces of Zelda music, as well.

I know that this thread don't have so much discussion material, but at least I tried.
And maybe we also can help each other to learn zelda songs on a certain instrument. Just a suggestion.
It will be interesting to see if this thread will lead anywhere or if it will be locked..(If this thread is getting locked, then it is my third this year )
Wow, I'm just the same. XD I can only play Zelda songs on the piano. And some Kingdom hearts/final fantasy stuff just cause it's pretty awesome too.

Everytime I play I just feel like I honest to god have no life. XD
