Hellooooo every one! I'm sure you wanna know what is it I wanted to show you, or maybe you just have been called out by the title.
ZeldaROTH ? Zelda OLB ? What are these ? New Zelda games ?

Yes they are .

They are here to make you wait until the coming out of the next "real" Zelda ^^.

ZeldaROTH and ZeldaOLB are in fact two amateur games made in C++ by Vincent Jouillat. They were originally french and they have a great success, so I decided to traduce them. And here they are ^^.

Zelda Return Of The Hylian has been made as the sequel of ALTTP, so it retakes the 2D graphics.
Story : After Link's victory over Ganon (in "A Link to the Past"), no one knows what Link’s wish to the Triforce was. But this wish reunified the Light World and the Dark World and brought the 7 wise men’s descendants back to life. Peace was back in Hyrule. But unfortunately, this wish also ressurected Ganon and his henchmen. He was preparing his revenge, but he couldn’t do anything without the Triforce. One night, a familiar voice speaks to Link in his sleep…

Zelda Oni-Link Begins is the sequel of ZeldaROTH, made because ROTH encountered a great and unexpected success.
It's longer and far better ^^.
Story :
Brought down by a terrible curse since his recent victory on the Dark Lord, Link is changing, day by day, into a powerful creature with a destructive nature named Oni-Link. Bannished from Hyrule, the young hylian asks the princess Zelda some help. She shows him his last hope: a portal to a secret world.

I didn't make them. Vincent Jouillat (most known as Vincent) is the one who made them.

I am personaly a part of the team. I am the translator and I was also the one who invented the story of Zelda OLB. I'm also the second administrator of the forum behind Vincent.

I didn't created them, but I tranlated them and because I'm the one who speak the best english in the team, I am also the "ambassador" in english forums.

Don't worry, I'm not plagiarising anyone ^^.

Return of the Hylian is by far the best fan made game, ever. Wow. I just got to Kakariko village, and to be honest, I didn't think the game would have been finished past getting the shield/sword.

This is epic.

It even has the Cuccoo's turn red and chase you if you slash them. That was amazing.

Yep, and if you enter in a certain building when the cuccos are after you, you will have a big laugh ^^.

Is it the one that they're outside of in Kakariko Village? I'm gonna go play it again, since ZU isn't very entertaining at the moment.

I have to say, my biggest gripe is with the controls. I'm constantly using items by accident, and hitting the wrong buttons when I want to slash.

The big laugh is in OLB. In ROTH it's normal.

The control ? Well, since the three keys are near, you should put one finger in one key and constantly keep it on the key. Then it quickly become a reflex to press one or the other.

I'm playing OLB and it's in a word, EPIC! I love the story (hehe... Link banished from Hyrule... whoda thunk it?), and turning into Oni-Link so often is AWESOME! Kudos to you, helping make the game!

Hmmmm you know, I was a real geek in forums two or three years ago. Now I just say something when I have something to say. So not often . I do check other areas, but find nothing to say, if I find, I'll do.
But my job is to keep this thread alife and to help you if you have troubles, so enjoy it ^^.

are these rom hacks or patches or freeware stuff? im confused...
either way it looks cooler and easier than Parallel Worlds lol

EDIT: also is there a way to change the controls? theyre a bit awkward..i was wondering if one could use a gamepad?

Unfortunately, I'm not sure if I can download the games on the comp I'm on since we're (my family and I) are having problems with it right now but I do want to play them. I guess I'll just check out the website for the games for now. From the screen shots alone it makes me want to play!

Zeldoom => they are freeware.
You are the second one to complain about the controls. I don't understand, they are adapted to both qwerty and azerty keyboard.
The Z (sword in qwerty) X (objects) and C (gloves) are nearby in qwerty keyboard.
With an azerty keyboard the controls are the same, exept for the sword : it's W so that it's nearby to X and C.
And the 4 arrows to move Link are always nearby in all keyboards.
Use your right hand to move Link, your left hand to act.
Actually the controls are very easy, handy.

There must be a problem somewhere, may I have more details ? What exactly is wrong with the controls ?

its not that bad (the controls) its just i prefer using gamepads for stuff like that...i see theres no option to change it so ill get used to it i guess..they are kinda fun these games!

Oh, yeah, of course we are more used to have gamepads to play Zelda. But quickly playing with a keyboard become a reflexe, trust me ^^.

Oh, and nobody has tried it yet, but in theory it is possible to play to them with a gamepad. My informatic skills suck, so I can't tell you how to do; but if you want to be the first one trying it, go ahead. In theory it's okay ^^.
