Zelda Section Guidelines - READ BEFORE POSTING!!
THE RULES
Post Quality Rule: 1. Your posts should almost always be more then one line, unless you can meet requirement 2 in that short a space. 2. Your posts should further the discussion. This means that posting "Yeah, I agree with PosterXYZ" or "Haha that's funny!" is not allowed. 3. Remember to elaborate on your opinions. If you like something; tell us why, if you don't, tell us why you don't. No one really cares about our personal likes and dislikes, but they may respond to our reasoning. Necromancy Rule: Threads over a month old that are posted in shall be immediately locked, with only rare exceptions (ask first). If you want to post about a certain subject, then make a new thread. Grammar Rule: There is no cutoff point, and perfect spelling and grammar is certainly NOT required, but posts that are rampant with misspelling and grammatical errors are subject to deletion; perhaps even warnings if frequent. Banned Threads: There are some threads that frequently crop up that are spammy and will be locked upon creation. -Those types of threads already prohibited by the general rules, of course. -"Favorite" threads are discouraged. These are seen a lot, but are simply often too spammy to tolerate. If you wish to express how much you liked the Water Temple because it was difficult, for example, make a thread like "Does difficulty make better dungeons?" instead of "Your favorite OoT dungeon." The former will contain much more intelligent discussion, believe me. However, if you still wish to make a "favorite" thread, then be sure to pick a topic that is: a) Not already covered in the stickes. b) Has only several items to choose from; favorite threads covering dozens of potential items are often all over the place with no real discussion. Posts in "Favorite" Threads are expected to contain elaborations as to why a favorite object was chosen. Those "favorite" threads that contain little elaborations amongst posts will be locked without warning for being spammy. -Pointless observation threads. If you want to point out the little section on a wall of ALttP that looks like Mario or something, then there are stickies for such minor observations, but they are poor as their own threads. -Most other threads are fair game. If you're in doubt about whether your new thread is good to post or not, ask or just do it anyway; it will be sorted out. But ALWAYS check the stickies and existing threads to make sure the same type of thread doesn't already exist.
