Has anyone noticed in majoras mask how in clock town there are cow models everywhere?
They are practically all over clock town. I wonder what they mean and why there are so many.

There's 10 of them to be exact, I think the only purpose they serve is because one of keaton's questions is how many there are, so not really an easter egg of any kind.

Their heads shake when the earthquakes happen on the third day or when you roll into the wall. They could be primitive seismographs.

Re: Official Zelda Easter Egg Thread.

Anyone else notice Ruto gets the most easter eggs out of the Sages?
Like the other sages she has a town named after her (though in the real world she's named after her town), and she has a stained glass window in TWW.

But she also has...
Her temple reappears in TP, albeit much simplified. I guess Ruto got sick of having to change the water level all the time, and had most of the complicated traps ripped out. Can you blame her? The player only has to go through the Water Temple once, Ruto had to go through the temple everytime she wants to get from A to B!

Laruto and Rutela are obviously descendants or named after her. Rutela also has a remix of the Serenade of Water as her theme.

Also, the Ruto Crown in PH. =D

Oh and she was the only sage who had a counterpart in Termina (Keaton even gives Ruto's name as an option in the quiz asking you to name the Zora singer.)

Some more easter eggs I've noticed (non Ruto or Water sage related ones) > : 3

Lulu sings a song named The Ballad of the Wind Fish, named after Marin's song in LA.

The first 7 bosses in Oracle of Seasons are the same ones in the original Legend of Zelda.

The Oracles reappear in TMC, looking for a home. The Oracles are named after the goddesses.

The Arbiter's Grounds are implied to be the ruins of the Spirit Temple. The same could be true of the Desert Palace (the temple utterly eroded to its foundations )

Maple makes a cameo in the remake of AlltP as the witche's shop assistant.

In TP Ganondorf possesses a character similar to how Veran possesses people in Oracle of Ages. Ganondorf flies into the unfortunate character's body, and their skin turns an eerie shade of blue, just like Veran did to Nayru and another character.

Can't think of any more. XP

In Majora's Mask, whilst battling the soldiers of Igos du Ikana, if you don the Bremen Mask and start marching, the two soldiers will look at each other, look back at Link and then start dancing along as well.

Timeline wise, you are completely off, because Ruto only became a Sage in the Adult Timeline. But I guess as Queen Zora in the Child Timeline, I guess she would still have power over it. Even then, Ruto didn't exactly own the temple to begin with.

Not exactly. Darmani, although he looks completely different, is considered to be Darunia's counterpart.

It was called Ballad of the Wind Fish in both games, but also referred to The Song of Awakening in LA. Also, MM's sounded completely different and had absolutely nothing to do with the Wind Fish.

TP Ganondorf didn't possess the Sage of Water (which was not Ruto. TP is on the child timeline). He actually killed him in a single ram.

1. I was joking. =P But as a Zora queen Ruto would probably be a Zora priestess as well. Besides the Water Temple is the Zora's temple.

2. Darmani and Darunia look different so theyre not physical counterparts like say Malon and Romani/Cremia are, or Anju and the Cucco Lady are. Lulu is a direct counterpart to Ruto. (Keaton even gives her name as an option when he asks you who the Zora singer is.)

3. The title was an easter egg.

4. I'm not talking about Ganondorf possessing Ruto, I'm talking about someone else... Someone who gains teal skin and has to be battled.

The cows also have little flames during the nighttime hours...

So LOGICALLY, we can assume that a crazy Goron merchant thought that there was a particular marketing niche for a cute little cow that could serve as a candle, seismograph, bobble head toy, and advertise the local dairy industry all in one!

Sure enough the said Goron merchant was right, EVERYONE in Clock Town wanted one, and he made Millions!

Re: Official Zelda Easter Egg Thread.

More of a glitch, but definately something that should be tried ~
LoZ:OoT

Step 1 - Go to a place where something can be bottled and equip a bottle
Step 2 - Scoop up whatever it is that you're scooping (bugs, fish, etc)
Step 3 - In mid-scoop, press START and go to your item subscreen
Step 4 - Replace your bottle with a weapon or item
Step 5 - Once your weapon/item is equipped, exit the subscreen and watch that weapon turn into a bottle!

You can get like, five kajillion bottles. Some things can't be turned into bottles (the magic spells, methinks.) But you CAN turn the ocarina into a bottle. Just don't press SAVE! (Unless you're REALLY PO'd at a friend and want to sabotage their quest log.)

MORE EGGS ~

TP's shaman, Renado, highly resembles MM's Kafei. Not exactly, but there are some common traits. They are both said to be Shekah. Their garb is very similar, contains some same colors and the same basic shape.

Link's Crossbow Training - Pretty well known already, but if you hit the scarecrows' bodies a few times then hit the head (you have to get through 2 scarecrows) you can go to secret places with more targets.

In TP, during the final boss battle when you're one-on-one with Ganners, you can use the fishing rod to distract him, and yes, it does make way for a quick series of stabs.

If you play Wind god's aria in WW near a broken sign, it repairs itself.

In PH, you get Hero's new clothes (Same as in WW, cannot see them).

Oh my god seriously? This may be the best easter egg I've ever heard. I'm considering replaying MM JUST for this moment.

I found this one interesting, There's no way that's just coincidence.
