Official Zelda Easter Egg Thread.

Not sure if this has been mentioned before, or if it can even be considered as an easter egg, but one of the masks on the happy salesman's bag (next to his right shoulder) is actually the face from the Mirror shield

I found an easter egg of my own recently.
In Wind Waker there are signs in the back of the potion shop with messages to read.
Unless if I missed something there is no way back there normally.

In the Photo Gallery place there are some signs back there to. I was able to read two of the signs which were just arrows. No idea if they're actually pointing to something.

To get back to both of these places your going to need to use action replay and to use the Super Sprint Code.

Actually if you attack it with a spin attack the fire breaks.I have done it several times.

has anyone noticed that the flute/ocarina/whatever that plays in the intro to OoT plays the same tune as the recorder/whistle in the original LoZ?

speaking of the ocarina, the one in minish cap plays the same tune as the flute mario uses to call a tornado for warping in Mario Bros 3 i believe.

Which is also the same tune as the flute Link uses to call a tornado for warping in the original LoZ. Zelda didn't steal it from Mario, Mario took it from Zelda and Zelda took it back.

Oh well, that's what you get for having the same composer for both Mario and Zelda (KOJI KONDO ROCKS!)

The tune in Super Mario Bros. 3 is supposed to be an easter egg to Link's flute playing in LoZ, which is why it also has the tornado. This tune was also later extended to be OoT's title screen, and the Ocarina of Winds in TMC plays that same tune, the one in OoT's title screen.

How am I wrong. I just forgot about the OoT title screen. The reason the other guy was wrong was because he though Mario used it first.

So if, judging by the definition above, if you have found any interesting little whatevers in a Zelda game that someone else hasn't already said (If the thread gets too long, repeats are understandable- I wouldn't want to read through the whole thread to double-check either! :O), then feel free to share. there is a mario mask on the mask salesmen's bag in MM.

In Hyrule Castle (TP) in one of the rooms, I believe it's one of the last rooms, you can look on the wall and see the biggoron sword.
