If you could change one thing about Link's appearance...

They should give him a body shape like he had in Ocarina of Time. I'd also like him to have strawberry blond hair again instead of the dirty blond from Twilight Princess, and a ponytail of sorts would probably look nice on him.

I like Dark Link, but the red eyes kind of make him look stupid. I like Dark Link as more of a shadow rather than an evil anti-Link with red eyes. Blah.

I'd like to see a TP style kid Link and a toon style Adult Link actually. That and in the next Zelda let the player have multiple tunics from the start for aesthetic reasons (TP tunic, ALttP tunic and new ones)

As for changing Links look ... a gender option would be good

Except a dark Link option is completely different and doesn't fit.
The gender option works because a female could do everything a male could do when it comes to what you can do in Zelda and that Link is the games avatar.

However with Dark Link, well how would that work? Dark Link is evil magic that has taken the form of Link. Playing as Dark Link means there is no Link to take the form of. That and Dark Link would hardly live peacefully along with a bunch of villagers

Instead of transforming into a wolf he could become dark link and PWN all the bad guys.

I know this is kind of copying a Prince of Persia game, but oh well.

Dark Link doesn't necessarily have to be evil. He can have a background story that differs from the OoT version of him, and as Passepartout said, he doesn't have to be Dark Link all the time, you could transform into him.

As long as Link doesn't have black hair in a future game, i'm fine. I like him the way he is.

I would give him a light-green(lighter than it is) tunic to show that its faded.... and a new version of the tp armour. OH! AND A NEW HYLIAN SHIELD WITH MORE DESIGNS ON IT!

Dark Link is evil magic that has taken the form of Link. Dark Link has to be evil because the magic that made him is evil.

As for transforming into him, like I said, Dark Link is evil magic taken the form of Link. Even if you could transform into him, there would be no point as Dark Link is basically the same as Link, just evil and made of magic

i give all my characters i draw earings. somtimes diamond earings or somtimes loop earings(small ones like links). i somtimes give them metal ball earings. never gauges. ewww. i think it shows a more feminine side to all characters. like they dont have to look all big and bad. its just sometimes you gotta show a more soft side than all going out hard.

the only thing that i would change about links appearance is his muscular build. the link from ocarina of time didnt even have that big of a muscular build. also probaly his hair. they should give him more wavy hair than hair that looks like it hasnt been washed in 1000 years. give him cooler swords man. the swords he has are just always the stupidest i have ever seen. unless it is the great fairy sword or the fierce deitys sword. those ones are awsome.

I like how Link has earrings. Gives him a somewhat softer edge to him.

I don't like it either, but we can't do anything anout it. LA link looks cool. No earings , cool costume. I like the brown instead of the whte, but he needs some sort of trousers (what are they called?)

Agreed.

He's needs to get a bit taller...and buffer.

Give him some visible form of protection besides his shield. They had a good start with this in Twilight Princess with the chain mail hidden under the tunic, and with the magic armor, but something slightly more substantial would be nice. I'm not saying anything like full plate mail, but just a bit more visible protection.

One thing that need not change, lest I crucify Nintendo... would be his left-handedness. That is by far the coolest thing about Link; what other video game character is left handed?
