Re: Favourite Zelda Enemy
I liked the Miniblins from TWW. They were kinda adorable, in a weird way. Also the sounds they made were hilarious and I loved to mimic their sayings. Although their swarms did got annoying at times........

Re: Favourite Zelda Enemy
I like the Redeads. They terrified me as a child, and they still have the potential to creep me out, but now I find them mostly amusing - as in Majora's Mask, for instance.
Also, many memorable moments when playing Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask or the Wind Waker have involved Redeads. My top 10 memorable encounters with Redeads/Gibdos (Warning: Some spoilers if you haven't played OoT, Majora's Mask or WW yet). 1) Everyone remembers the first time they encounter a Redead in Ocarina of Time: in the grave of the Royal Family. The green mist, the skeletons that tell of lurkers in the dark, and then the moans that emanate forth from the shadows...the atmosphere still creeps me out to this day. 2) Beneath the Well: Part 1. Remember that room with six coffins, that you have to open by lighting torches? When I lit one of the torches, I thought "perhaps there'll be a key? A golden skulltula?" And then a Gibdo floats out. 3) Beneath the Well: Part 2. Well, I thought I was prepared when I got Master Quest. I reached the room with the six coffins. "Yep, there'll probably be more Redeads or Gibdos in the coffins. No big deal." So I unlocked the door - and walked headlong into a Gibdo that the game designers had decided to place directly in front of the door to leap on poor unsuspecting Link. 4) Ganon's Castle. When Link and Zelda must flee the crumbling castle, the last thing they really need is a Redead lurking by the exit... 5) The ruined Hyrule market. Enough said. 6) Ikana canyon. When I first approached the Music House and saw the Gibdos walking around it, I actually thought they were just freely roaming the area, and that one could just pop up behind me any second. I sent Link tearing back across the canyon, leaped into the river, and let it carry me all the way to the southern swamp. Yep, cowardly, I know. ![]() 7) The castle in Ikana. This was the moment when I realised how amusing Redeads can be. I mean, ballet dancing zombies? Mind you, when I blasted the top floor with the Powder Keg and dropped through to the first floor, I didn't really expect to land between four Redeads...and I didn't have the Gibdo mask or the Captain's hat on! My cowardice immediately returned, and I fled for the exit - fortuitously, the light from my mirror shield managed to reflect the sunlight onto every one of the Redeads as I ran away, so I inadvertently managed to kill them all. 8) Redeads in the basement! And finally, we reach the Wind Waker. I didn't like the Redeads quite as much in WW - they had a very strange tribal look, and their shrieks reminded me more of elephants than anything else. All the same, it is a bit shocking when you drop down a hole in your own comfy little cabana, only to be confronted with not one, but two of them...and there's no Sun's Song or Gibdo mask at hand... 9) The Savage Labyrinth: I surpassed the first 20 levels and reached the Triforce chart. There I was, thinking how easy it all was. "And there weren't even any Redeads!" Then I spotted one of those statues that you can crumble with light from the Mirror Shield. And lo and behold, another hole. "Well, okay, probably just another ten levels or so. And there probably won't be any Redeads anyway." So I dropped down - and landed in a room filled with them. Of course. 10) The Ghost Ship: So I finally obtained the Ghost Ship chart and boarded the fabled vessel. I thought: "This isn't so bad! Just a poe or two, nothing special." So without a second thought, I dropped down to the floor. Suddenly, a Wizrobe appeared, summoned a ball of light, and dropped a Redead practically right on top of me. Nasty. |

Re: Favourite Zelda Enemy
Darknuts from Twilight Princess. Not necessarily as a single one, but when three all attack at once (in the Cave of Ordeals). Man, that was a challenging fight. I had no more rupees (for the Magic Armour) or potions left, not to mention I only had 5 or so hearts left. I thought I was a goner for sure.

Re: Favourite Zelda Enemy
I think the Kargaroc are awesome. I love the sound they make because it's so odd and psychotic and they're cool-looking birds too. They looked the absolute best in the cel-shaded graphics.
I like the Flare Dancers because form one is awesome the way it dances on fire and form two is fun to chase around because it's like a little kid in a store. XD I have an odd love/hate relationship with guays. I think they look handsome and cool but they scare me to death especially when I see them headed straight for me. Also, their frog calls are awesome but scary. I like doing this thing where I'm in Ikana right outside of the castle walls with the guays flying around and I switch my Stone mask on and off just to see them get confused. I love that Stone Mask. Lets me look at enemies in an observant way.
