i was recently reading a magazene(old) when i read an article on sheik.It said that a 1999 interview with miyamoto had confirmed that sheik was actually a real person, confused?let me explain. zelda took on the appearence of sheik to escape gannondorf. but not many people know that sheik was actually an ancestor of impa and one of the first sheikah alive. cool huh. please post your thoughts

No, that's not true, since Zelda was Sheik in disguise, she even said it. Where else would Zelda have hid if she wasn't disguised as Sheik? Exactly my point.

Oh, I see what you mean. Yes, Sheik was a real person, but the Sheikahs all died out, leaving Impa the only descendent of them. Of course there was a real Sheik, just dead.

Ahh Sheik. One of the most mysterious... Ummm... People in the game. She err... He.. Wait! Weren't all the Sheikah woman? And the Sheikah would just find a Hylian to make more... Or was that the Gerudo? Anyways, Zelda couldn't have just "copied" Impa's so called ansestor.

#1. She was dead.
#2. She would never had to become Sheik if it wasn't for Ganondorf.
#3. Impa probably had to teach Zelda how to become Sheik. Unless she has some super unnatural power of just becoming someone dead without even knowing anything...

That's just what I think

no see she has the ability to change her appearence freely and impa just informed her of sheiks appearence and she took on that form

We have seen absolultely no evidence to support that. In fact, the persona "Sheik" was male, so it is directly contradicted.

hmmm no, sheik was always a girl (she looked like a guy though).
they refer to sheik as a "she" in Smash Bros. Melee.

And they refer to Shiek as a male in OoT.

Which is more trustworthy, you think? OoT, or SSB:M?

I would trust OoT...but i still have a feeling that Sheik is a girl. Like i said in another forum, during a short film before the Shadow temple, when sheik gets thrown around in the air and then hits the ground, that is a scream (moan, fall type sound) of a girl...

Lord-of-Shadow...you of all people? Surely you must know that Sheik is a woman. I mean, Zelda even says she turns into Sheik as an alter ego. You're going to tell me that Sheik is a man?

I said the persona Shiek is male. Obviously, underneath the disguise, it is Zelda, who is a female.

Here is one of the definitions of "persona", from Dictionary.com:

The role that one assumes or displays in public or society; one's public image or personality, as distinguished from the inner self.

That thing might reveal the plot to a future Zelda game. The "war" that which Link's mom died. There could be cool features. *reads what I just wrote* I just made no sense.
