Would you like the next Wii Zelda the use Wii motion plus

I was just wondering how everyone thought about wii motion plus for the next zelda game on the wii.

Absolutely!

1:1 dueling would bring the game to the next level. And it might shut up some of the Wii-Whiners.

The Wii has a lot capability that hasn't been explored so far... it really is a marvelous technological system... but the games haven't really developed it enough. But this new Zelda might blow all our minds and bring us into a new age of Wii-ing.

I can see something like: when you z-target (is it Z on the wii?) you go into 1:1 mode. So what you do with you wiimote, is exactly what link does with his sword. And when you fight Darknuts, or other more challenging blade wielders, it would go beyond shielding and slashing, you could clash swords to block attacks and stab at unguarded areas and actually dual!

Yes, probably for the challenge of having PS3 fanboys finding something else to ***** at.

I see what you mean, but first person dueling is more Elder scrolls territory. Besides, Zelda games are Puzzle games with combat included. Even the bosses require you to figure out how to beat them first.

The only thing I can see the wii motion plus used for is shooting arrows. Other then that I don't think it will be used at all.

I agree with this. Only, I wouldn't want the view to change at all... I'm quite happy with 3rd person. The swordplay in TP was a good idea, but was very lacking. WM+ would definitely improve this concept.

I don't see why you wouldn't want it. It goes perfect with swordfighting.

I don't want to go into 1st person... if that's what you thought I meant. By 1:1 I mean, what you do with the wiimote is what link does... all in realtime. (maybe a very slight delay... for the stabilizers)

But the TP swordplay was, in my opinion, the best in a Zelda game. But to improve it, and make link a true master swordsman... that would be epic.

First person is a no, but Wii Motion Plus is a yes.

Yes, that is what I was trying to say.

LoZ should always be a mainly and mostly 3rd person game.

It would be cool to be able to have complete control over the sword.

Only if used tastefully.
I don't want the game to take on too much of an emphasis on sword-fighting. Utilizing slew of items and/or abilities alongside the sword cannot be overshadowed.

Absolutely-- I see no problems with the Wii Motion Plus. I believe it would give a fresh new combat system to the Zelda series. Frankly, I don't know what you could use the WM+ for except sword fighting.
