What kind of enemy do you want Link to fight?

so pretty much what kind of enemy would you want to fight in a zelda game? make it really basic or really complicated, a picture/drawing of it, its all good here. or if you want customize an already existing enemy. the only rule is that you cannot name something i.e. Lizalfos when it is all rock and only starts to move when you touch it, thats already an Armos.


to start things up I would want Link to verse a vampire type of enemy which I will call Virepeese. these appear only at night at certain areas of the map and also found in a Shadow Temple, caves, graveyards, just anyplace where there's a lot of darkness and you need a lantern.

there would be different versions as well, short hair, long hair, girl versions, but they will all work and fight the same. they attack by teleporting behind you and of coarse bit you taking away 2 hearts and if you don't shake them off they will continue to drain your life 2 hearts at a time.

to defeat them you first need to quickly shoot it before it teleports with a Silver Arrow(ehehe so you can't kill them until you get the Silver Arrows so these guys will prevent you to reach some areas of the map)which will prevent it from teleporting but it can still attack you with his sharp nails. then Link can have his way with them only with his Mastersword. after you kill it its corpse will turn into sevenKeese. I would rank this enemy up there with the Dark Nut but it wont be a mini boss.

This is not one specific enemy.

But you know in like Lord of the Rings, or other epic fantasy or medieval movies when you see the huge army charging across a plain to their apposing enemy in great graphics. Well, I want all of that.... and LINK alone on the other side. Then Link has to fight them all. He'd have his master sword tanked out with magic (like in many Zelda games) and this enemies... let's call them Soldiers of Fear, (not a zelda name I know) shoot arrows as they approach you. But unsheathe their swords when they get in striking range. And their on horse back. They take 2 strikes to kill, and take away a half a heart.

Now how can link defeat them all? Well, he CAN'T, the player really thinks Link is going to die, but it's part of the story, he has to loose.

So that's what I came up with after about 1 min of thinking, which explains why it's cliché and stupid. But no one had posted on it yet, and it had 6 views... gotta get it rolling.

Hm, how about Dark Link, you know, being a little creative. Then they can make out on the waterlogged floor

I would like Link to fight and to physically challenge a woman next time.

Fighting the Gerudos were awesome in OoT. They were fast, swift and easily attract guys to battle them.

Yep. We need more girls for Link to fight with. Evil ones at that.

On a more serious note, I really second this.

I want Link to fight a mentally disabled person, I want Nintendo to make controversy.

Also, I want Link to fight somebody with a long-distance weapon like a shotgun or sniper riffle.

the next Dark Link incarnation should also have all of Link's items and weapons handy, and he will also use the weapon that your suppose to get once you beat him. also he should be able to use all of the Hidden Skills (I really hope this feature comes back) regardless of how many you got at that point.

oh and for the female thing, yes the next zelda game definitly needs that. fighting girls just has something about it which I can not describe regardless of how bad that sounds. and for that matter I actually want to verse a Gerudo with a spear and not only sabers.

I'd like to see more human-like enemies.You could engage them in sword duels,or just use weapons against them.Of course,they can block a lot of your projectiles,and sword-fighting is the best way to eliminate them.

DRAGONS!!!!! Best medieval cliché that should be used for a Zelda game... He's only fought three dragons in the entire franchise: Digdogger, Volvagia, and Argorok...

MORE DRAGONS!!!!!!! [gulps crazy pill] So I think that having serpentine flying lizards shoud be one of the focal points for a dungeon in the next Zelda title...

Some sort of rival. Not an arch-nemesis per-say, more like a person of the same combat caliber as Link whom he competes against.

i want link to fight a enemy like a goomba, or a koopa maybe, that will be cool!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know about actually having to verse Goombas and Koopas but maybe instead mushroom and turtle types of enemies. the mushrooms would come out of the ground and surround you like Leevers and they would have daggers and always come in groups of three. I will call them Abmoog. as for the turtle actually we already have that as an enemy in Majora's Mask so thats done.

as for someone of the same caliber as Link who isn't Dark Link maybe it would be a great joke in the game that you always verse this guy who dresses kinda like you and you always meet him right before you enter the temple and he would say, "Only one of use can go in here to get(insert whatever you need from temple)." and for some wierd reason he is always trying to get whatever your trying to get like it was a competition. even if it's a joke he should be very challenging to fight. I will call this man Knil(ehehe I like my way of naming things).

How about something where the eyes aren't the weak points, or something without the theme of eyes? >_>

Anyone ever play Shadow of the Colossus? Well, I'd Link to fight something as massive as one of the beasties in that game.. Like having to actually climb it and discovering the weaker points on its body... then stabbing the hell out of it with the mast sword.
