What is all this crazy talk about a Loz game in first person mode?!

while i was listening to the recent, and not so recent ZU podcasts i heard a statment mentioning a Zelda game that might come out in a first person form of play(This is unofficial, un-known and not to be taken seriously). I know, it sounds unbeleivable. Right? (or not-so unbeleivable) That or i'm just less informed about these types of things. but if people were to be endowed uppon with this type of gaming situation, i would like to know if most of the main gaming crowd would shun zelda for taking such a bold step into the virtual universe, and disturbing the delecate balance between Loyal fans and... well gaming!? or would it attract many more of the diverse, yet usual first person video gaming players just out of sheer curiosity? (games such as halo, Cod, and Oblivion). or will it make the Loz lovers fall in love with Loz all the more, because of everything Nintendo has acheived up through the years since 1987?

There are many opinions. i want to know what some of the many people out there on ZU think about this new way of Loz gaming (if it were to come out)

Key Points/Questions:

1. If this first person Loz were to happen, how would most of the loyal and typical fans react?

2. would the People who created Loz be more popular with everyone who does not typically play any of the zelda games? or will all be hoplessly lost to just typical Loz gamers?

3. ... would you buy it?

*Mind you people who would like to bring graphics and pixles into this topic please don't... this thread is assuming that they will have mastered that art and practice, and have acheived everything we've hoped for. (and please don't bugg me about metiphorical errors, because i just realy don't care.)
*and also, im all for this first person way of playing Loz. if anything i'd be overjoyed if they did something like this. it'd be a major step for nintendo and possibly a big hit among all kinds of Loz players. time to try something new like TP.

speaking of the podcasts... they were awesome funny and informative. except for haz... he creeped me out... im scared now! i don't want has to know im on ZU 'Sob'! anyway peoples input please!

Nooooo!!!! No first person zelda!!!! That would be terrible.... and so confusing.... I would totaly boycot a first person zelda game, cause its just not what a zelda game should be like.

I actually would think it'd be interesting to play a first person Zelda game because I feel like I'm actually Link even more than just simply controling him. It'd be like I'm fighting Ganondorf or whoever myself! Besides, if you think about it we've already expirienced Zelda games in first person view like when using the bow, hook/clawshot, etc, we'd just be walking in first person view too.

I can;t imagine what a first person would be like...

I'm sure it could be interesting though, so if it does happen I will give it a try

If you guys cant imagine a Zelda game in 1st person then take a look at the game called Oblivion. Its a 1st person game that has swords an stuff like that.

Now take that game and imagine it as Legend of Zelda.

I think Nintendo already made a First Person Zelda game, and then got mad at it and sold it to Microsoft, who changed the name to Oblivion.

It would be new and a risk... but it would feel like your playing Halo more than Zelda. So BOOO!!!

Yea... Uhh... No.

Anyway, TP was supposed to be the last Zelda of it's kind, so, it's kinda good deal that the next one shall be in First-Person Perspective.

I'd say it's the same for Morrowind as well, since I haven't played Oblivion.

Actually, my character in Morrrowind kind of looked like Impa, she was a Wood Elf with tan skin and white hair, I named her Lenn, even her makeup was kind of the same.
