OoT first timer journal

DAY 00:
So, this ”The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time” game got much hype around it, and I have decided that I HAVE to experience this game. I have buyed the game, along with a Nintendo 64, and will play the game tomorrow. However, I expect this to be a gaming experience on a very high level, so I will each evening describe what I experienced with the game and the thoughts I had when I for the first time pulled myself together to beat this legendary game.

DAY 01:
How to start? The game opened with a very gay sequence on some tree asking some fairy to find a boy who doesn’t have a fairy, and… WTF? I know this place is called Kokiri Forest, but to me, the place will always be “Peter Pan Town”. I mean, small, greenclad faggets with fairies, living without adults in a forest? When I was done LMAO, I noticed the game now focused on the fairy from before flying up and down above the maincharacter, who sleeps with clothes on. Well, considering he got no door, doing otherwise would make him an easy target for pedophiles, but considering there is no adults in this forest, he is just too dumb to take his clothes off. I will take it from there. I finally got control of the game, and… Lost it again. I didn’t cared about what he said, but some greenhaired dude disturbed me the moment I left my house. Annoying as ****. When I regained control of this movie/game, I learned the controls… I could move, I could roll… Lol. I was impressed. Truly impressive gameplay. I talked to some dude who said I needed a sword and a shield to pass, and the maincharacter being a little pussy absolutely have to agree. Lol. This game seemed more and more like a Teletubbies experience to me. I was quickly tired of the “ding-ding-ding-ding-ding-ding” melody in Peter Pan Town, but had to suffer while moving around, searching for some sword. Finally, I found a hole, avoided some rocks, found a sword. Later, I had to find cash for a shield. It took me ten annoying minutes of searching grass, entering house, leaving house, searching, grass, entering house, etc. to get the necessary 40$. When I did, I finally got the shield, and the fag from before letted me see the gay tree. He literally asks me whatever or not I wanna get out of this ****ty Peter Pan Town or if I wanna get out of it, so yeah, I wanna go out. But in fact, I gotta go in. Cause this freaky gay tree opens his mouth, asking me to enter. If it’s a trap and would mean game over, who cares, this game seems to suck. After half an hour of figuring and fighting, I reached the spider boss and owned it. Easy. Now, I was ready to leave Peter Pan Town and get the famous freedom of the Zelda games, but noooo… The greenhaired dude from before interferes with me AGAIN, giving me some gay flute. Hell, even the maincharacter must despise this guy, running like hell. I LMAO by that. When I got outside, I heard OK music, much better than Peter Pan Town. It was light, and I was ready to experience the freedom! But no… NO ****IN FREEDOM! That annoying owl mother****er made me aggressive as ****, blabbering his ass off with “Oh, I see your adventure is about to start!”. Well, good eyes, **** off, you ****in owl. Now, I was ready to be free, but noooooooooooo… Some flying top attacked me. I was ready to fight, but seemingly, the enemies are too powerful for you to even fight them… I died, was sent back to Peter Pan Town, and decided to turn this game off, considering never to play it again… Who knows, maybe I will pull myself together again some day.

This should not be locked. It's a new zelda gamers valuable point of view. And i got nothing against gays. I like chocolate, my other friend likes McDonalds, so if some men likes dick, let them. We are all human.

Anyways, can any of you guys gimme a good reason to play this overrated game?

depends on what you look for in games i supose.
its got a right nice story and fun bosses

and trust me it gets way better after you do the first three temples

yah the first 3 temples do kind of suck. I hate the forest temple, then its ok until the water temple, which i hate, but i would recommend playing more.

Other then some crude language, he is just giving his honest opinion on a game.

I think the game is great and he should try and atleast play it before completly rejecting it. But its his choice on whether to see what else OoT has to offer or not.

Also the begining really sucks.

No, its not a peter pan game. It actullay has a dark story behind. Keep going and you'll be impressed.

Anyway, the start of the game is quite boring, but as others have said, it gets much better after the first three dungeons. So don't give up just yet.

While I think your being a bit harsh, I am really looking forward to your later entries. Why? Because I think the game is hugely overated too, and I want to see how you take it. XD

The last part with KG made me laugh my ****ing ass off

The beginning of the game is slow, but it speeds up. Though if you like games better when talking is minimum, Zelda games probably won't be your thing.

And the person who gives you the flute is a GIRL named Saria. Please stop calling her a dude.

I suppose you had to 'be there at the time'. People who've never played the game before and play it nowadays don't really see what the big deal is - what with all the mega-realistic graphics and the like we can get nowadays.

In my opinion, Ocarina is the greatest game ever, but that's probably largely based on nostalgia.

Don't fight those 'flying tops' (called Peahats), by way. They're pretty much bound to kick your ass.

You get to the Shadow Temple and then I'm sure you'll see that the game... very slightly drifts from the whole 'Peter Pan' idea... just slightly.

...So... likelihood of ever seeing the OP again, anyone?

Peahats are a piece of cake. You dodge the blades and hit the... err stalk thing.
