Zelda montage and I need your help

Ok guys this is what's going down. I'm making a montage to Zelda, I've put this off for far too long. I've made a couple other montages in the past for the Metroid series and they turned out very nice. This one will contain footage from Oot, MM, TWW, and TP. I might get clips from other Zelda games as well if I'm inspired to do so. All footage will be filmed by me, and it won't be none of this crappy camera-at-the-screen **** which bugs the hell out of me, this will be recorded straight from the game into my computer, so I guarantee good quality.

Now in respect to my first love I'm making this and I need your help. The problem is I'm very picky on the type of music I use, it has to have a certain feel to it. I've narrowed my choices down to 4 songs and I want the most popular vote to help decided on which I should use. Making and obtaining the needed footage will take me some time since I have to actually play all of these games to get it. Putting it together will take me a few months aswell so please be patient.

Now that's the easy part, I want you to first take your time and listen to each song that I have bellow, and carefully choose which one best fits the Zelda theme. Then when your done choosing please type down a reason as to why you chose it, and don't just say, "It sounded cool!" or "I thought it was neat!!! lolz"... I don't want a crappy answer like that. Just explain why that certain beat or rhythm moved you into choosing it, what feeling does it give you, and most impotantly.... What overall image does it portray if I use it in a montage. Now you don't have to be that specific but you get the idea, I want to understand why you think it suits a Zelda montage.

And for those of you who are curious as to my last couple of montages here they are:

This was my first montage done 2 years ago. All the footage was from trailers so it doesn't have everything I could have wanted nor is it perfectly synced. Plus I was new at this and it was my first try.

This is my second and my most recent montage. The quality is better for 2 reasons: 1. I'm using a brand new software instead of Windows Movie Maker. And 2. I now get all my footage from the game itself. Yes that's right, all the footage in this video is me actually playing the game and going straight into my PC with a simple but high quality method.



Now here are the songs, please listen carefully and choose which feels best (some of these (like Mitternacht) might need to be "Save Target As"):

First two are too german.. too much spoken word, which doesn't quiiite fit the mood of Zelda. Requiem, while awesome, is unfortunately overused.

The last one isn't Zelda... at all.

If you must use something by E Nomine, use Vater Unser, it has more of an epic theme that fits a dramatic montage.

However, I have an alternative that would go well with Zelda. Search Main Theme of the Myst IV- Revelation soundtrack by Jack Wall. It doesn't start out too dramatic like Stuff by E Nomine, it does get intense at the end, like the montage should be. It also has nice movements in it that you should make your montage around to break up the action and drama perfectly. Only My Opinion, though.

Well I reviewed the song you suggested. And even though it sounds very nice (and I added it to my collection) it seems a little too slow for what I want. This song is deep and gives emphasis to soul, spirit, and above all essence. Indeed I like it yet as far as sheer power it's not quite there. The reason I like Enomine is because it's very strong and fast. But I might use it in another Zelda montage in the future for one more focused around a mystic theme.

I'll take your advice into consideration. Vater Unser is very up-beat and that gives me a chance to add a lot more clips in.

Yes, unfortunately Requiem has been overused. It's a very good song and I could make a very nice rising theme to it. But unless it gets an overwhelming majority vote I probably won't use it.

Don't make duplicate threads and double post.

a cooler song to use for a Zelda is gotta to be the Kernkraft 400 Red Hed remix.

this is the only vid i found, has two remixes, the Red Hed remix is the second song you'll hear..

Well it's got a good beat yet this would be better for a gun scene for another game. This sort of tone doesn't really fit with an ancient civilization theme. Just seeing Link running around slashing Ganondorf with this doesn't give a sense of awe. I appreciate your insight yet I don't think it'll work. Try and pick something from the list below, I chose them because they have just the feel I'm looking for. Yet I think I'm gonna scrap this thread soon, I haven't gotten a single vote in the polls yet and it's really irking me.

You could play the OoT clips first with one of the songs, then during the MM clips you could add the scene were Link is in the twisted coridor then at that monent Kernkraft would start.

The problem with that song is that it's a too repeptitve. And it just doesn't have the kick that I need. It takes me a long time to put one of these things together, that's why I have so few. I need to play 4 games to get the footage I need, and it's specific key points that I look for, and the music has to sinc with that scene. The songs I choose are very strong and that's what I need. I was even considering "Inner Universe" albeit I love that song I just can't use it because it's too weak and has a more futuristic feel to it. But if you can find something with a strong beat and vocal I will honestly look it over for consideration.

Thanks, I appreciate your help. I like the song, it's just slow like you said. But if you can find something I'll listen to it and see if it gives the feel I'm looking for.
