Zelda Nosatalgia

Zelda nostalgia. It's a funny thing. It's different from every other nostalgic experience. It's more...epic. It's bigger and better. For example, if you played the original Legend of Zelda on NES, then you played it again on Wii's VC, you'd feel on top of the world, the only thing that matters. You'd be guiding Link around Hyrule without a care in the (real) world.

Well, that's my experience of Zelda nostalgia. What's your experience of Zelda nostalgia. Heavenly, OK, or absolutely awful.

I hear ya.
For me it's OoT, especially the music. Just takes me right back whenever I hear the Hyrule Field theme. LttP as well, exploring the Light and Dark Worlds, with their respective themes playing in the background, just makes me forget about everything irl.

One reason I love Zelda games is because when you play the newest one there's always throwbacks to the older games, which make you love and appreciate them even more.

Ahh definitely, there's always little things that link them.
Same goes for the music, they re-use themes and incorporate them into other bits of music and stuff...
Quality.

Same here. I keep trying to piece together which game goes before or after which. It's hard work

Heavenly. I love it when something reminds me of an older game or they put a little something from an older game in there. I get all excited and it just brings me back.

I'm probably the only one who doesn't get nostalgia from playing Zelda.

I'm 1 of those guys who played it religously on NES. When the Collectors Edition came out on GC with LoZ and AoL I was in a constant state of euphoria! Since ALttP came out on the VC, I can play those old games any time I want! I love the nostalgia!!!

Majora's Mask and Ocarina of Time are the source of Zelda nostalgia.

Mty b/f is currently playing ALTTP on the GBAsp and I like to hear the music and sound in the background while I'm cooking or playing another game... I know he's experiencing a great game and if not for me, he probably would never have become a zelda fan. (befor we met he'd only played the original one as a kid and wan't much of a gamer)

I get the most nostalgic when playing ALTTP.

Ah it's crazy when you can just hear the sounds of what's going on and it's like...'oh, they just did that bit!'. Always makes me wanna play.

I just had a zelda nostalgia moment recently. I was playing TP and was riding Epona through Hyrule field and what do you know, its morning time! So I'm just riding along and I hear the song from OoT when it becomes morning(sun's song)! I was like oh my gosh! Its just like OoT! Of course a few seconds later the TP music chimed in but for a few seconds there it was like a flash back, aaah.

For me, link's awakening. Cant get enough of it. When I was younger, the only console I owned was a gameboy color, and I had Link's awakening for it. Before that, I would play it on my friend's gameboy pocket. Its sad that it doesnt get much attention, besides Malon/Talon and the discrace that was The Ballad of the Wind Fish(Majora's Mask version, not saying its bad but its by far inferior and made me angry that nintendo would abuse the name of a good song by slaping it on a , by comparison, piece of rubish). As of late, I've been carying my gameboy with me trying to do that 5-miunte speedrun glitch involving screen warping. In fact, when I D/L'd the first zelda on VC(sadly my first experiance with zelda 1) and steped into a dungeon and heard the Color Dungeon background music(Although technicaly the color dungeon used zelda 1 music...) I was thinking... "wow......" Then I get frustrated that I cant move diagnal and go back to LA.
