Which OOT did you prefer?

Well I was wondering what OOT version people prefer, myself I cant decide between Master Quest and the remade Game Cube verion, I still like the origional N64 version, but never get around to setting up the N64.
So what do all of you other Zelda fans prefer?

I like The N64 virsion, simply because I like the way the controller fits into my hands. Master Quest is really cool too. I'm knee-deep into it right now.

What is the difference between the N64 and the GC version?
I preferred OoT to MQ, not fussy what console it's on though.

Edit: Actually I believe the GC version ran in higher res. So I'm gonna say that one.

Master Quest. I enjoyed having a different dungeon layout, than from what I'm used to.

GC Remake, simply because it runs at a higher resolution, and I think I might actually prefer the GC controller.

Uh I voted MQ. I mean its fun to have a challenge. My second choice would be the N64 cartridge but they're all pretty much the same.

The original.

The GC rerelease (not remake) was the same exact game, just with annoying controls.

And the Master Quest had the same annoying control scheme, and even though I enjoyed the difficulty of the dungeons, I thought that most of them were mashed around to the point where it didn't feel as natural, and that took away from the enjoyment.

I have not played OOT, I've got it but I'm not sure if it's one of the Zelda games that I want to play. I played the Wind Waker and enjoyed playing that.
It's just getting the time to play another Zelda game.
Sorry I haven't played many Zelda games yet but I definitely want to.

OoT is definitely one you want to play. It's one of the definitive Zelda games, I really, really recommend it. It beats WW by a long way, which is an awesome game in it's own right.

MidnightSun: I would have said the original, but I think the GC one runs in higher resolution; so it's exactly the same game but looks better .

I prefer the original because it is the one that I am used to the most. Although, there are not very many differences between the versions, it is just that I like the feeling of popping in the Ocarina of Time N64 cartridge into my N64 and using the N64 controller instead of the Gamecube controller to play Ocarina of Time.

I like the GC remake the best, simply because I prefer GC controls to N64 controls.

I'm sure if I played MQ (even though I have the disc), though, I would like it better because of the difficulty of the puzzles.

Remake? it was a port, it's the exact same thing with higher resolution, different colored HUD, and some changes in the text, Z-target changed to L-target and rumble pack to rumble feature... And it uses a MUCH better controller.

you shuldn't really count those two as a different version...

V1.0 of the N64 Cart (there were 3 of them). In other words TEH GOLDZ CARTREDGE!!11!

The one where Ganon had RED blood, and there was all that chanting in that one dungeon (Muslim prayers, I've heared). And the Crescent Moon and Star symbol for Gerudos.

Master Quest is pretty good, and both GCN versions run at a nice resolution, but V1.0 is still my favorite.

I like MQ because I like a bit of extra challenge.

That, and to tell the truth, I never played through the original.

I guess the Gamecube remake would be Collector's Edition, right? CE is my favorite, because it's the only copy of it I own. The freezing sucks, though.

I like all of them equally excluding master quest I found that to hard for the likes of me, seeing as I was never able to beat OOT anyways, maybe its because I always stopped playing OOT half through and not because it was hard, oh well the game cube controllers feel nice for OOT anyways

Personally, I prefer the Master Quest. Its dungeons are harder and more challenging, which I love. As much as I struggled with the regular version my first time, I struggled more with the Master Quest. I find the Master Quest quite easy now, as I've played it so much. Funny thing is, I've played it several times, and I've only played the regular version once.

I got to the Spirit Temple in MQ, but I got bored so I erased my game.

You cannot beat the original Nintendo 64 Gold Cartridge.

Runs great on its native hardware, still has the most glitches, old fire temple music, and Ganondorf spitting red blood!

I play the VC version the most now, and I love the old Fire Temple music! Too bad I don't have the gold cartridge.

meh, crappy controls of the GCN version outweigh the positives of the higher resolution. All the higher resolution basically does anyway is make the jagged edges stick out more IMO anyway.

I found the controls pretty much identical...apart from the Z-trigger.
