Yeah...I only ever played MM once so that may be why .
I wonder if it's intentionally like a cactus? I guess it's pretty likely, it would be hard to make it look that much like a cactus without realising it.

I just read an article on Zelda Informer that was partly about the appearance of the stone tower. There wasn't anything in the article about it looking like a cactus.
The Stone Tower looks like many things apart from a cactus. I'm sure there are numerous threads about this kind of thing, both the Tower, its appearance and references, also concerning the resemblance between Majora's Mask and the Fused Shadow.
It looks like a cactus on the outside, but inside, it is a massive square.
The interesting shape isn't unique to Stone Tower though. There is the Snowhead shape and Great Bay's shipwreck temple thing.
