Favourite Zelda gimmick?

As you all know most Zelda games have some kind of gimmick to make it different than the other games, most of them "increasing" the size of the world you can explore, some of them are good while others are just tedious. Now, my question is, what is your favorite gimmick?

Please note, I AM NOT asking which game is your favorite, or use this poll as an extension of that. I simply wish to know what gimmick you found to be the best.

I loved Wolf Link in TP. I wish they'd used it more after Arbiter's Grounds. But I thought seeing stuff you can't ordinarily see with sense and talking to animals are cool idea.

I think Sailing from Wind Waker is the best (add that to your poll!!!).

My second would be transforming into a Wolf.

It was a tough choice for me. I like traveling through time, and mask transformations equaly. I voted for Mask transformations.

Both of those "gimmicks" were really awesome.

Mask transformations. It actually makes you think about where you could use certain masks. "Hang on, I couldn't get here before because there's that one guard who keeps kicking me out. Oh, but I've got the Stone Mask now..."

Wolf transformation is kinda nice, then time travel

Shifting back anf forth between light/darkworlds essentially gives you 2 worlds to explore. That gets my vote.

I was thinking of adding Sailing, but I felt it wasn't really a gimmick: it was basically a replacement for Epona, your primary way of transportation.

As for myself, I don't really know what to choose: the Masks in MM were pretty awesome, but so was changing the Seasons in OoS...

I voted traveling through time because I loved being able to see the story through two side of thing. To see what it was like seven years later and also see what people would say to a child vs. adult. Also to see if people would remember me or recognize who I was when I was older.

I almost chose mask transformations though because you had such a wide range of abilities and its also fun to see what people would say to each formation of Link.

my favourite is the tranformation masks in MM, then its shrinking in MC/time travel OOT/team up FSA.the last 3 are about the same ranking(in my oppinion).I quite like them them all but MM wins by a little.
