Okay imagine:

you are in hyrule , termina , or some other zelda place , and you cant get home

"Where is the best place to sleep ?"

no trick question or poll . just answer with a Non or Semi retarded answer.

My favorite place would be the Stock Pot Inn in Majora's Mask

Well, If I was in termina, the stock pot in ofcourse :3. Lets see, hyrule, I'd have to say somewhere in the forest, I love forests.

I would like to live at zoras domain, but I always envisioned it as being really cold, even before the freezing.

Anyways, so it doesnt get offtopic.

I think I might like Lon Lon ranch to stay to. I'm kinda a farm boy, so I would feel at home lol. Plus, who wouldn't like playing with cuccos all day, at least until they go psycho and try to kill me.

Man, that "defend the farm" part of MM has got to be my least favorite part. I can't stand it really. Anyways, I think that, as long as I wouldn't be captured, I could stay at the gerudo fortress/valley as well, not 100% on that actually. Something else in termina, Great bay. I love to fish, and if I could make a living off of it AND be right next to the zora hall...awesome.

Best place or safest place?

Well in Link's experience the best place to sleep is in the Temple of Time. You don't just sleep anywhere for 7 years!

Second best would be the beach where some fair maiden may find ya!(LA)

I'd sleep in the Stock Pot Inn in Majora's Mask, since its lively and there are people to talk to.

In Hyrule, I would sleep under a tree in Hyrule field, only when all monsters and beasts are banished after Link slays Ganondorf into the depths of the Sacred Realm. The shade of the tree and the light breeze across my face would soothe me into sleeping...

Romani ranch seems like a nice peacefull place to spend the night... when it's not being invaded by aliens! but seriously, it would be relaxing to just lay down and look up at the beautiful night sky as it takes you to dream land...

I'd want to sleep in any of the houses on Outset Island. Great places those are. But if I had to choose one place, it'd be Windfall Cafe. There's something about that place that is just so cosy.
