need help!

Ive been playing The Link to the Past and ive gotten to Kholdstare in the Ice Palace...but every time I beat him nothing happens. He just dies, I get the heart container, and thats when the Crystal falls....but it doesnt fall.
All im left to do is just walk, use my sword, and run. But I cant pause it, go to my items, use an item or look at my map.

Do you think there's something wrong with the game?

I'm sure you've tried this, but have you tried restarting or turning off the game, then doing it again?

If so...I'm not sure what's wrong.
Are you playing on the Virtual Console, Super Nintendo, or GBA?

Im just thinking its just something wrong w/the game because Ive had something like this happen on another game. Also Im playing it on my DS.

It could be something wrong with the cartrige or something...

I'm really not sure, but I would try...
Well, I know you may not want to do this, but try starting another game, and see if the same thing happens.

Is this your first time playing that game?

Yes. Ive been in the Ice Palace for quite some time now. =P

I meant, is this the first time you've played ALttP on the GBA?

Try making another file, if you can.

If the same problem occurs...I really dont know what do to.

That's really weird.

Is it possible it's a glitch that occurs because of the way you do something using THAT particular copy of the game?

Did you put it in the wash or something? Try playing it on a GBA instead of your DS. other then that I have no clue what to do.

^ My friend actually had my OOT cart in his pocket and it went through the wash. Still worked perfectly, except the label started to come off :p

Ive washed at least three GBA games that way. All of them still work though. except my pokemon leafgreen game makes a weird sound when I shake it now.

I wish that was the case with my GBC and Game Boy Camera I had a good few years ago but somehow it ended up in my grandma's car in a glass of soda that was somehow still standing on the car's floor, I figured one of my little cousins did it, wouldn't even turn on since then and it sucked because when I wanted to get it again it got discontinued.
