Re: Final Boss Hype

OoT is a great one to start with. and it's not like she would have to play the previous titles for OoT to make sense--it's not like Harry Potter. It was my first.

ah, good ol' MM. That is a fun one to go back and get everything.

okay, so. Anju's Grandmother tells stories, right? And Link always fall asleep listening to them right? Use the All-Night Mask to stay awake during these stories and then answer the question she poses. (You will actually have to read what she says.) Anju's Grandmother will give you a piece of heart for keeping your eyes peeled.

do this for each of the the first and second nights of the game, choosing a different story each time.

Re: Final Boss Hype

yeah, let's not get in trouble...

Uh... Bosses! Final Bosses, to be precise. Okay, so let's see....

Ah, the horseback riding part of TP. i thought that was killer, and perfect for a Zelda game. They explored horseback riding in OoT, improved it in MM and perfected it in TP. It's till my fave part of the final battle against ganondorf. it made TP come to life for me.

Re: Final Boss Hype

Oh yea definately, I loved that part of the last fight in TP, makes me wonder though, is there anyway to improve upon that? Also, since this thread is technically about hype, what about the music? I know in TP, WW, and OoT, it was a big tension (holy crap I'm at the end) builder.

Oh, I LOVE the music throughout the whole game. Koji Kondo does it again, using his score to even further bring the player into the world of Hyrule. and how the music gradually becomes more sinister while climbing higher and higher in Hyrule Castle. PERFECT!

Yeah, fighting on your horse definitely takes some getting used to, especially when there's a giant monster man out to toss you from your horse into an endless, bottomless pit below.

Re: Final Boss Hype

Yea, that can definately distract you a bit lol. Somewhere around my house, I've got a cd with like 27 zelda songs on it, from the original kondo to orchestral takes on OoT songs, to an electric guitar take on the original zelda theme, and one of my favorites, a recording of system of a down singing a song about a link to the past.

Re: Final Boss Hype

i highly recommend OCR to any fan of video games. The remixes on their pay so much tribute to the Zelda series and to Koji Kondo himself.

Re: Final Boss Hype

I think boss hype lol, It's a good feeling when you know your just about to finish a game, it's even better when you love the game, like most zelda fans do.

Re: Final Boss Hype

oh, i know. You can really kinda connect with Link's character when you finally reach the final boss. Well, somewhat. But you finally understand why you went thru all those hellacious dungeons and solved all those grueling puzzles. It felt so awesome to finally beat OoT--it took me five years to beat that game. Started when i was nine in 98, finished when i was thirteen/fourteen in 02. God, that was a long time ago. I'M OLD.

Re: Final Boss Hype

lol, at least you kept on, I didn't beat it when I was a kid, but I played and replayed from the begining to the end of the fire temple at least 20 times before finally playing through the entire game when I was about 13 or 14

i did that! rofl! I at first got stuck in Jabu's Jabu's belly, then i was stuck in the Forest Temple for a year, then got stuck in the cursed and infamous Water Temple for a good few years before discovering my friend's walkthrough. ^^ Teh rest of the game was a breeze.

What pushed me thru it was the fact that i had seen my brother play thru the final boss fight and ending. I had no idea that Sheik was Zelda. i thought that Ganondorf had already kidnapped Zelda while Link was asleep in the Sacred Realm. So when Sheik revealed herself, i was like, WTF!! ZOMG!!!!
