Of all the Zelda games, which of Link's swords is your favourite?

I like the Great Fairy Sword the best. Not because of Zelda, but because of Soul Calibur 2. (Braces for impact).

I would have said stone, but I'd have been called on that one being told it was a pedestal. The point is, The Master Sword is the hero's sword, stuck in place waiting it's true master. The Four Sword was stuck in the ground, waiting for some Simp to draw it and release a wind mage.

and really, Soul Calibur 2 is why I chose the Great Fairy's sword as my second choice.

i liked the WW master sword it just looked funny when such a tiny link held such a big sword

Am I the only one that hated how it looked in tWW, atleast when it started regaining it's original shape? It looked like a bulky plastic version of the real thing, it was way too big for Link. And that glow effect was just ugly.
Hero's sword was really cool on the other hand, it's just too bad you couldn't change back.

Yes your the only one. I thought TWW master sword looked awesome. I like the glow affect too. Although i do like the TP master sword.

I like the Gilded sword from MM and the Master sword from OOT.

I found out that the guilded sword is stronger than the master sword by doing this simple thing. Since OOT and MM have pretty much the same monsters this made my test fair so I killed a wall master (annoying hand that drops from the ceiling and takes link back to the start of the dungion) with the master sword doing a normal slash with B button takes too hits to kill.

But the guilded sword doing the same as above took just 1 hit to kill it.

Just because master sword is used to kill the "most powerfull evil person is the series dont mean the actual weapon is physicaly strong and if they wanted the kokiri sword could have been chosen as the sword of evils bane what ever the master sword is titled. The biggoron sword is stronger than the master sword but cant finish off ganon. Also I think the gilded sword looks awsome.

The Master Sword is a legendary blade, but my vote HAS to go to the Great Fairy's Sword! I love the design on the blade, and it's pretty strong too! I'm glad it was SC2 Link's ultimate weapon.


I would like it to turn up again in a Zelda game, too.

I liked that too and It may be stronger than the biggoron sword since the gilded sword may actualy be equivilent to the biggoron sword since both take hardly any hits to kill enemies and the great fairy sword is stronger than the gilded sword.

The Master Sword.
Not the TWW one, as it had a stupid frog, if I'm not mistaken, at the hilt.
I liked the TP one much better, as it had the feel of the original OoT one intact. And the OoT sword was the coolest one, which TP improved with better graphics.

The Master Sword from Dark World after it has been thrown in the Fat Fairy pool on the Pyramid in ALttP. I thought that was mad (for some reason) urgh!

The Biggoron Sword will have to be my favourite. Well simply because it is much stronger then the master sword. I've always liked it the most, so there is not much I can say.

i never liked how the Biggoron's Sword was more powerful than the Master Sword. That fact... ::searches for right word:: um, defiled the mythical Master Sword, which is supposed to be Link's bread and butter. That Sword is the Blade of Evil's Bane and the fact that another blade can overpower it, just irks me.

But, yes--it is still a very cool looking sword, and I do like it. I just dont like that it overshadows the Master Sword in terms of power.

Yes, I suppose your right that the fact the Biggoron sword is actually stronger then the master sword is a little erratic, though like I have said, The Biggoron sword is and will always be my favourite, yes it does look pretty nifty. Thank you very much also. ^_^

Well, it's not strange that the Biggoron sword is stronger than the Master Sword. The Master Sword is perhaps just as sharp as the biggoron sword, but it's just a sword, while the Biggoron sword is a claymore. The biggoron sword swings with both hands, and delivers more punch, while the master sword is a one hand sword.

I actually liked the Wooden Sword from Twilight Princess. It made me nostalgic just using it.

in didnt like 2 handed sword much since i couldnt use a shield to defend myself and though it looks like it can 2 handed swords dont block attacks its just for graphical looks. I tried to block with a 2 handed sword such as the biggoron sword and I still took damage. Before anyone tells me I can dodge I am alright with dodging but not all attacks can be so easily dodged. I did used to run and roll to dodge ganondorfs multi energy ball attack in OOT and managed to aoid getting hit untill I found out you can do a spin attack to hit them right back at Ganondorf.

You don't have to do a spin attack, just hit them. Attacks can be blocked with a two handed sword in Oblivion, so I don't see why link cant.

PS!!!
It could control time whenever you wanted!!!
It was useful in the final battle and also a MUST in it.
Not like other games that with any kind of sword you beat the final boss. >.>
