While I would probably buy that, there is still this quote to consider...
"Give peacfull rest to the living dead." (Sun's Song inscription)

Thats just a song that manipulats the day and night. It means that the "living dead" is the sun and by "rest" means that let it pass away and let the moon in...

. . .

Thats the stupidest thing I have ever heard. You do know that the Sun's Song stuns Re-Deads and Gibdos, making them vulnerable to attack, right? >.>
And how does the Sun represent the living dead? WTF? The sun usually represents life. If anything, the moon represents death.

Re: Official "How come in Zelda...?" thread

Clearly, Redeads somehow died a second time whilst already being dead, hence the "re-" prefix. Both deaths cancelled each other out, thus returning them to life. As zombies.

OR

They were arbitrarily named Redeads in Japanese because it sounded cool or whatever, and the English translators just kept it the same. With the bizarre names that other monsters have (Keese? Like Like?) I'd say this is the most likely explanation.

You see? It makes them sleep! The sun's song is the thing that cam ake the RE-Deads sleep for ever! But, it doesn't have the much power to do it...

Sorry, but that didn't make much sense. Please clarify. For a second, it looked like you were agreeing with me...

The suns song is like a "manipulator of the UN-Dead", right? Well lets just say that since the song wasn't played for like ages or centuries, the RE-Deads began to arise and began to attack.

Review:
The song was sealed, the undead revived and the redeads walk upon us...

Yes, so in theory they are 'living dead', but now they're empty and dead again (even more dead?). That's how I used to think of it anyway, but I can see it's not a perfect explanation. What I don't understand is that the sun's song only stuns them temporarily, I would have liked to see that it made them 'die' peacefully.

They are "living dead". They Physically alive, but unlike un-dead they cant think. so they where un-dead but they lost there minds and now there re-dead. Thats what i think anyway.

Fairies are magic, duh. A simple glass jar is not going to deter a magical fairy.

Re: Official "How come in Zelda...?" thread

that's true^^ but do you think the fairies like being trapped, even if they are helping the hero of time? if you look at one in WW they are sad. they could escape anytime they want. but they still wait for link to die.

EDIT: AND BY THE WAY, I DONT KNOW ABOUT THE EDIT BUTTON!! oh, wait...
