in the minish cap the pikori say they like placing stuff in bushes and under things and so that explains everything (in zelda timeline the minish cap goes in first (in most timelines)) so in all the games its always under bushes and rocks and jars

It's a magic pouch, not a black hole.
He has one in the old cartoon, and it seems to work like so: Link puts an item in, it shrinks. Link reaches in for an item, the bag appears to magically know what he's looking for, and he pulls out just that, and the item unshrinks. In TP he already has a pouch of some kind with his Ordon clothes, and he clearly puts the fishing rod in there, which looks funny. When he get's the green tunic, there's three I think, even more space for all the junk.

A bag like that would be so useful. I always drag with me loads of stuff, and it takes forever to find anything in the bag. ^^'

I agree, a magic pouch would be super handy for books 'n make up 'n stuff. That explains why Link has 'excellent grooming skills' as well, There's a whole beauty case in that pouch!

How does Link jump off a cliff and survive?

Even rolling afterwards has to hurt.

How does Link not say OW!!!!!! when hitting the water after a huge cliff jump in Gerudo Valley?

Either he doesn't feel pain, or he just holds his pain pretty well.

Re-Deads: How are they alive?

This occured to me a while back, and since I am currently playing through the Ikana part of MM, I started thinking about it.

Re-Deads. They are zombies, right? They were dead, but now they are alive again. Full of evil and with very little self-awareness, but alive. So, where did the name Re-Dead come from?

Re usually means again, or back. So, using logic, Re-Deads were alive, then they died, then they were resurected, then they... died again? But that makes no sence, Re-Deads are clearly alive.

So, using more logic (It burns!) we would use Un, as in un-done, so they would have been alive, then they died, then they were resurected. Un-Dead, (That word is around for a reason, you know) meaning their death was un-done. Not Re-Dead. Re-Deads are, logicaly, dead. But they are not. They are alive. Again. So they are logicly Un-Deads. Wats up with that?

Re: Official "How come in Zelda...?" thread

Well since nothing in the games really talks about why they exist, I'll just assume they are in the game because...well...why not have a zombie in your game?
As for the seemingly strange use of a prefix...can't really say. Does anyone know what the literal translation of their name is from the Japanese? Could be the American translators just dubbed them 'redeads'.

Good theory dude; I wondered the same thing. I'd assume it's ReDead because you kill them once and there are always more.

They aren't zombies at all, they are golems made by gannon to scare people, at least... that is what it says in SSBM...

Magic. Case closed!

seriously magic, is like saying why are poes alive, why do the kokori live ever and never age, why does the hero of zelda always wear green, who created the goddesses. We'll never know its just the way Zelda is.

And also, that's probably not true. There are redeads in Kakariko graveyard when you're still a kid. Ganondorf would've had to walk through their to get to death mountain, yes, but I highly doubt he took the time to dig up the graves and put redeads underneath them.

Re: Official "How come in Zelda...?" thread

uh... hmmm... interesting. y'know, it could be that they did sins while they were alive, and with ganon's evil aura it has brought them back to life. kinda dumb, but It's what first came to mind. By The Way, this should be in the zelda theorizing section, shouldn't it?

Remember that Re-Deads are the loyal servants from the undead of Ganon/dorf. Also remember that he has the POWER of a GOD. He can manipulate the undead and make them live and desify the Laws of Life...

Re: Official "How come in Zelda...?" thread

...
-_- Did half of you read my thread? I know re-deads are magic zombies. I know! This thread is me wondering why the re-deads have the RE infront of them. They are not re-dead, they are un-dead. (See logic in post) I'm wondering why they used the RE instead of the UN.

Oh, and quoted from the inscription on the tomb of the Royal Family (Sun's Song)
"Give peacfull rest to the living dead."
It's painfully obvious it is refering to re-deads, because they are located in the tomb, and the Sun's Song is the easiest way to kill them.
So Re-Deads are zombies. End of story.

Shouldn't logic tell you? The Re stands for Revived, as in the Revived-Dead!

*Sigh*
Re most commonly stands for again, as in RE-done, RE-wrote, RE-made, RE-made, RE-dead. Re-Dead really means 'Dead again'.

Yes I know but it also stands for REvived! If you want an answer for this, just don't think about it anymore...

Re: Official "How come in Zelda...?" thread

Well, here's my humble opinion: they died, they were revived, but they're dead again because they are just miserable empty shells of the living beings they once were, roaming the earth and spreading evil. They're not really alive so un-dead wouldn't fit them, therefore they're 're-dead'.
