Has Zelda Ever Inspired You To Do Something Creative?
Post here.
Whether it be a song, favorite drawing, poem, you name it. My Zelda-inspired creative work was a poem I did in grade 8 (2003). It was around the time before the Wind Waker came out, I don't know if you remember or not, but Nintendo.com used to have a banner at the top that would feature a game every time you went to the site. Anyways they had put up a new banner for the Wind Waker that said "Adventure is in the Wind". At the same time we were assigned the task with writing a poem and after hearing Adventure is in the Wind I thought I would make that the subject of my poem. Anyways, here it is: It carries a mystery in its flow It expires the fires of a candle lit Wherever it may go nobody will ever know The course of its flows is everlasting It dances with the leaves of an old oak Its power can blow an undying burning It can smother it down to a black smoke Softly blowing, gently lulling to sleep And tosses tree tops with its rolling breeze Whispering gently its secrets it keeps And brings crashing waves and storms to the seas For as long as the wind shall ever be It will forever and always be a small part of me So post here whatever Zelda-themed inspiration you have ever come up with. It can be anything... |

Re: Has Zelda Ever Inspired You To Do Something Creative?
Zelda has inspired me to do many things.
Because i love Zelda music so much i wanted to be able to play it on my keyboard, Although i haven't been playing for that long practising all the Zelda songs has made me quite good. Also i'm very bad at drawing even though i enjoy it, so i try to improve by drawing some Zelda stuff. I've also writing some Zelda fanfiction but i haven't shown it to anyone. ![]() |

Has Zelda inspired me?
Hell yeah! What do you think all my art is about? I will stop at nothing until I can make a Zelda movie... Been writing it for over a year now...

Re: Has Zelda Ever Inspired You To Do Something Creative?
There was this time some years ago when I still thought I could draw, and Zelda-related stuff was pretty much the only thing I ever got on paper. The art style still affects stongly on anything I bother to doodle now. I only draw pointy ears on people, partly because they're easier than normal round ones, and they always end up looking better anyway.
I used to practise some Zelda tunes on the piano, and also made a short "song" at one point, kind of like the ocarina songs in OoT. That was when I still thought I could play the piano. Cosplaying counts as creative. I cosplay. My Zelda-costumes have been Vaati about two years ago, and Ordon Link last summer. Link was the most fun ever, the clothes were awesome. Yeah, Zelda is inspiring, very much so. Hard to say how much it affects whatever I draw, write, or design, but it's in the background, I'm sure.

Re: Has Zelda Ever Inspired You To Do Something Creative?
How could I forget, my Link's Awakening inspired poem,
The realm of thoughts is but an illusion A scene on the lids of a sleeper's eye Brought forth by the fantasies of ones seclusion A world of emotions, expressed at nigh Nostalgia revived in the crevices of our mind When deep memories become adventures once over No place we remember, but though of its kind A fragment so big, yet small as a clover Someone we met, or a place that we visited Our conscious mind misses what dreams reminisce But when awake, it seems we have missed it Becoming confused to what really exists Now not to forget the dark side of dreams Our minds full of fear, causing much bliss A prison, it is, when we start to scream For awakening to come, and nightmares, to miss To the dreamer, A mysterious world within ones powerful mind, Why are these places, so always hard to find? |

I made a Fan-Game once using the Zelda Classic engine once. (It's a free heavily modified version of the Original LOZ engine)

I'm slowly working on a fanfic; and I often play Zelda songs on the piano, trombone, and my ocarina. Buth other than that, nothing major.

Re: Has Zelda Ever Inspired You To Do Something Creative?
Zelda games have inspired me to be involved in sports, based on what weapons Link uses.
In my backyard, me and my cousins play sword fighting for hours, trying the new moves that Link learns throughout his adventures. But I do archery mostly in a tournament. Zelda and the character Link has inspired me to what it would feel like to be a hero, shooting arrows into targets and pretending to defeat beasts and monsters. It's really cool. And also, Zelda has helped me improve a lot in my art. Helped me to come such a long way.

Re: Has Zelda Ever Inspired You To Do Something Creative?
It truly inspired me to get back into drawing and art. I was afraid I was starting to lose my talents, but Zelda games made me want to create worlds again.
