Will Nintendo stick to the small guys?
The Legend of Zelda series has been getting stronger and stronger every sum set of years. With the release of Twilight princes Gamers were shown Link as a teenager rather than his usual kid appearance that has been the start of pretty much every Legend of Zelda game. Which brings up this question in my mind, will Nintendo boost Link's age in future Zelda games or will they stay with the traditional kid Link?

Re: Will Nintendo stick to the small guys?
I honestly doubt that they'll show us a Link any more adult then the adult link in OOT (which he was a teenager still anyways).
It would be difficult for us to relate to the game playing as a 50 year old :p haha |

Re: Will Nintendo stick to the small guys?
Zelda Games had Link in ages from 7/10-17/20, ect. Well really you were eaither 10,17/20 or in OOT 11-16 (while going to the sarced realm). Nintendo will likly keep him as a kid or old teenage/young adult. I dont think Nintendo will have a 30 year old Link.... (creepy).

Re: Will Nintendo stick to the small guys?
I dunno maybe, like when we were kids, it was neat to play as a kid link, but now that we are teenagers we might want to play as a teenage link. But what about the children that want to play as a child link. =/

Re: Will Nintendo stick to the small guys?
Is it possible that Nintendo could have Link age over time like in Fable? Such as he would start off as kid Link and as the game progresses he gets older and older. It wouldn’t really work that much but if Nintendo could somehow refine it, it’s possible and may make a pretty good game.

Re: Will Nintendo stick to the small guys?
I dunno, nintendo has always been the company that tries to reach out to the kid audience, (which bothered my friend so much that he traded in his Wii for a 360), so I don't see nintendo ever scrapping child link, or progressing him to an adult age. I don't know for sure though, anything could happen, I'm just guessing that it won't.

Re: Will Nintendo stick to the small guys?
You do have a point only what about the other characters? I read in the official Primia guide that Zelda is about 20 in Twilight princes. Would Nintendo leave Link as a kid rather than putting him with everyone else? I guess that would make him stand out (I mean that's what got him to fame). A single kid going against things that some adults would run away from is kind of inspiring.

Re: Will Nintendo stick to the small guys?
I personally think the creators of Zelda will always leave a game or two for us to the side, yes over the years this wonderful game gets stronger and stronger, but we need to be humble, and allow the creators to do as they please with there games.

Re: Will Nintendo stick to the small guys?
I think that adult or realistic looking games are the ups for the moment. You see stuff like Final Fantasy and they have as much fans as they do as Zelda, and most of the characters are adults.
I think adult Link would be a lot more popular, because there is more depth to him and he is mature to certain situations. Plus, some fans are interested in the romance issue with Link and some of the girls in the game. This is my theory.

Re: Will Nintendo stick to the small guys?
I'm pretty sure that they just said he was more mature, but I don't know it's possible. Not many other games have done what Fable has done, but that's mainly because it's so complicated. I'll give you an example... you're character is 45 but your childhood friend is only 20 and hasn't even changed since you last saw him/her when you’re character was 20. It's hard to come up with that stuff because you have to change the other characters too

Re: Will Nintendo stick to the small guys?
He was at his oldest age in Twilight Princess, around the age of 17.
In Ocarina of Time, his oldest age was that of 14 years old, because he started off being 7 years old and traveling in time 7 years. (For people who can't do maths: 7+7=14).
