How did you discover Zelda?

I just had a random flashback as I was filling in a thread about what I thought when I first played Zelda. One of my friends when I was like erm . . . 8? had OOT and was stuck in the deku tree fighting Gohma and couldn't do it, and I often got shoved round his house because our mothers were friends, so I just picked up the controls when he got bored of getting his ass kicked by the lil Gohma spawns and spent like 40 mins trying to kill her and then eventually did and then went to buy my mum for a N64 & OOT. XD

How did you discover Zelda?

I had a n64 and my friend lent me OOT. it was the best game i have ever played! That was back in grade 4..... The good ol' days.

My older brother playing it when I was around... 8 or 9 years?

Every time he was playing it, I was always peeking around the corner to hear all the cool stuff happening and I eventually go and sit with him while he played and I began to draw the characters and monster, imaginations flew everywhere, started playing it myself when my brother went to work, then I became addicted and fell in love with the game.

Afterwards, that's all I talk about and I still am obsessed with it. I was always depressed when I was little, but Zelda made my world heaps and heaps brighter.

Just the graphics back in those days and the childish feeling to it made it a game where I couldn't stop playing it. I still play it now, never bored of it. It always brings back memories and makes me happier.

I thank Zelda for everything.

it was when i was bought a nes.i was damn young i didnt think anything of the game.
i was alot older when i became aware of how great the game was though and now ive played every single game well almost completed la.

I remember back when i was in kindergarten the game came out. the following summer i used to watch my cousin play it every day after we swam. Wow, some summer that was! I was so mytified by it that i could watch him play for hours. When i finally played it i only re-asserted how much i loved the game. Before this though this same cousin got the first zelda game for christmas and i think i watched him play it then too.

I discovered Zelda when I went to an ex-boyfriends house and borrowed some of his N64 games. One of them happened to be OoT, and I played it. Got hooked and beat it.

I used to play aLttP at my brother's friend Chris' house. That was the only Zelda game I played for years. it wasn't untill 2 or 3 years ago that I really became a big fan of the games

That's so odd.

Do you know the famous N64 video with the kids sreaming thier heads off (exspecially the boy). I got OOT not that laster after I got the N64. I would always play it at Kindercare, and as a Kindgergardener....I was preety darn good.

For my 8th or something birthday, my dad's friend go me OOT. I've been a Zelda fan ever since.

The cartoon. I basically hated Zelda until I played Ocarina of Time.

My Gameboy came with Link's Awakening

I was just a young kid and I got my gameboy color when I was 6 so I'd say I was 7 or so when I got my first Zelda game. My parents bought me Oracle of Seasons for my GBC and I just liked the game.
