Animal interaction in The Legend Of Zelda

Well in Twilight princes it seems that there is more interaction with animals in the game. I mean Link can pet the goats and pick up dogs and cats and when in wolf forum you can even talk to certain animals. Still though it just seems like there's not many animals in Twilight princes in fact there hasn't been many animals in other Legend of Zelda games. I'd have to say that with Animal interaction Twilight princes wins over the others but it's still missing some things. I think that future Legend of Zelda games should have a lot more animals running around and have it to where you can interact with them but anyway do you think past Zelda games have less interaction with other animals? In Ocarina of time Link is able to ride a horse and talk to cows but there's not much other interaction it's also the same with Majora's mask and in The Wind Waker the only animals that are recognizable are the pigs. But what about past Zelda games though what about A Link to the past and the others do they have any animal interaction? I know that The Original doesn't. Would you like to see more interaction in future Zelda games?

Re: Animal interaction in The Legend Of Zelda

Maybe...it depends on what you mean. If you mean like Link being able to pick up chickens and fly around, I would definitely want to see that going on in the future games. But the only way Link was able to talk to animals in TP was because of his wolf form. Personally, I didn't like being a wolf in TP, and I don't really know how Link would talk to animals in any other way. So, for me, its a yes and no.

By the way, when I talked to Epona in wolf form, I cracked up. I won't spoil it for you guys though.

Re: Animal interaction in The Legend Of Zelda

Well as long as the animals are not TOO much in the game as in TOO much interaction which seems stupid but as long as thats not true then a little more animal interaction would be cool.

Well what I mean in a way is being able to pick up animals or pet them or have them follow along with you (you don't really need to talk with them though). of course more animals such as different types of birds maybe different farm animals, and being able to ride other horses or other types or animals like the giant boars only actually being able to fight on them instead of just riding… but it's just a thought.

In ALttP there's many animals (See Lost Woods and the flute kid).

I guess...that would be a nice idea to give. The only animals you were able to ride in the whole Zelda series was Epona and some boars in TP.

And for a pet dog...maybe, like if you want it to go fetch a key that you can't reach or something.

Re: Animal interaction in The Legend Of Zelda

It would have been cool to ride on those goats in Ordon village.
My girlfriend dosent like the Zelda series but she spent about 20 minutes playing with the cats in Castle town in TP o.0

Re: Animal interaction in The Legend Of Zelda

If you think about it, animal interaction isn't really needed. Unless they come out with another Zelda game where you turn into an animal.
I'm not forgetting Epona. But we don't really need animals for much in this game, do we?

Re: Animal interaction in The Legend Of Zelda

Well I for one loved being able to interact with the animals! Although the first time I picked a dog up I was surprised and was like what am I supposed to do with it? I also thought it was the coolest thing when I found out you could play fetch with them.

Oh and I absolutely Loved playing Link as a wolf!! And being able to talk to animals! It would be so cool if they made a MM type game but instead of the masks turning you into Gorons and Zoras, they would turn you into different animals. I would love to see the wolf again and being able to turn into a bird and fly around would be awesome! (I also loved it when you could control that big flying thing in TP)

As for other games, wasn't there a village of talking animals in LA?

Did you forget about the monkey that helps defeat the one boss in the first Dungeon? If he hadn't showed up Link would've probably been done for.
But who says that animal interaction is restricted to just talking with them? my idea is the fact that you could pet or keep certain other animals maybe even have them fight along side you (such as the situation I pointed out earlier). Pulse having more animals in the game would make it a bit more realistic and I bet with the detail the Wii can get, they would be able to add more animals that could help or hurt you or just live their lives.

Re: Animal interaction in The Legend Of Zelda

More animal interaction would be awesome...But not to much otherwise it's like Link's standing there and all of a sudden a bunch of animals fall on him and he goes SQUISH!

Talking to Epona in TP is awesome! That was so funny....

In like, almost every Zelda game there is a whole whack of Cuccos...Oh how I enjoy hitting them with my sword....
