LOL!!! Thats true. With Link yelling like a maniac going HAAWT WAAT YAAT SAAAYAAAHH!!! I doubt the Hyrule knights would want to be trained by someone like that. Link is just better off standing quietly by Zelda's side during royal meetings and only speaking when she gives him permission to.

I... didn't want to sound like I'm character bashing... I hate that sort of thing...
I just thought with that many animals, there would be much work to do. And Talon is lazy, it's even said in the game. Malon would help and Ingo would, too, but he'll get older, so the amount of wotk he can do will decrease, leaving Malon and Link. I'm not saying they can't do it, I'm sure they could, but it would tie Link down, too.
And I don't think he would abide to the typical rules, I don't think he'd let himself be stopped from riding around whenever he wants to, as long as there are noo urgent matters which have to be discussed first. (And really, even with a good time management, it'd still consume time. Maybe not as much as the work in the castle would, but I wouldn't call it an irrelevant issue.)
And I think Link would have to be quite smart to be able to clear all those temples. And since he has to find the weakness of his enemys and make a strategy to defeat them, I think he could be a good strategist.

I view OoT Link to be as responsible and hard-working as TP Link. Although TP Link loved his horse, he still had that flair of being a responsible farmer boy, knowing that there is a time for work and a time for play.

I agree with Goron Moron on Link being responsible in regards that there is a time for work and play. As for Link being a strategist advisor in a LinkxZelda, it sounds reasonable I guess. But I put my shoes in that of a royal educated Hyrule knight and I probably would have a hard time letting a non royal & uneducated forest savage telling me what to do.

I have this awesome idea for a Goron x Rito fanfic, but it's going to have to wait until some of my other fanfics are complete. :/ I don't see it as being a oneshot, so.

Well, if Link was trained properly enough to be an adviser, it'll probably be for the better. Besides, most people are very trusting of Link... especially after he saves the world.

I guess if you go on the theory that after Link returned from the MM adventure he became an accomplished hero, him gaining the trust of royalty sounds believable. But with all the he stayed in Termina or the lost woods with the Skull Kid theories, its unknown if OOT/MM Link returned to Hyrule if the Happy Mask Salesman told the story about Link to Zelda and the royal family. But I believe that there is enough hints in TP to believe that OOT/MM Link became more than just an oddly dressed forest savage.

I personally think that Malon and Zelda would be the best people for him. I grew attached to Marin, and Malon was so similar, I would go with her as my first choice. But, I think the best person for Link would probably be Tetra, cause I can't see link settling down, and Tetra is a seafaring pirate!

Yeah...I agree. I meant hints to a past hero in TP that would have been a possible reference to OOT/MM Link with the magic-zora armors and hero tunic and references from dialogue.

Besides what you already said about him becoming an accomplished hero... If some royal Hylian Knight would have any problem with Link, he could still challenge him... And get his ass kicked. That would end any debate about Link's competence.

If Link can't settle down, then what will stop him for deciding to leave the pirate crew for life and to head somewhere else?

If he decides to stay with Tetra, then he has officially settled down with the rest of the pirate crew on their proud ship.

I just personally believe that Link and Princess Zelda are perfect for each other... Wait. Tetra is Princess Zelda too! XD

True..Link could take out a whole brigade of hylian knights on his own. But he doesn't seem the type to resort to violence during a royal meeting. ESPECIALLY in front of Zelda. But if I WAS Link any Hylian knight who disrespects my physical appearance, intelligence and my simple forest upbringing would get a royal beatdown in front of everybody. Even if Zelda starts screaming for me to stop I would make an example of the guy knowing that I'm stronger with the TOC.

IN GAME OOT Link seems the type that would just stand there and take insults from royalty who are jealous of him and Zelda would predictably intervene on his behalf as he stands there like a quiet statue as the gentle & obedient forest savage always standing by Zelda's side 24/7.

I also don't think he would resort to violence if there's another way to settle the conflict. In the beginning he might simoly ignore it, not wanting to bother with it, but if that doesn't work and Zelda decides to not speak up, because she thinks he has to handle that problem himself to trly settle it, he might decide it's the best way or the knight just doesn't leave another way.
And after maturing normaly I doubt he would just stand by if someone was insulting him and as a result of that the princess - since she would have picked him for that job.
(And, apart from Zelda screaming and me not stopping, I'd probably do the same as you.)

I agree 100% with you on that one. I would like to see Link behave more like a traditional male macho hero type but still respectful to Zelda of course. If Link behaved life a Beowulf/Achilles type with probably blatantly disobeying Zelda because he wants to show Zelda he is a true manly man, it would be totally out of character. I can see cartoon Link or maybe the Manga Link being exactly how I think you see him. I have never read the Raven Manga but I take your word for it that he is a more easier to identify male hero. But if I were a gentleman suitor vying for Zelda's hand in marriage, I would do my best to outwit Link in order to make him look silly in front of Zelda to show he is nothing more than a simple minded forest person unqualified to equally co-rule by Zelda's side. I think generally most of the Hyrule Court would get along with Link, but its easy to believe that the likely always ever present cliche of OTHER suitors for Zelda would deeply resent Link being there a majority of the time. Thats another reason why I prefer Link to be with Malon and live at the ranch so he can avoid that situation.

Even if those other suitors tried to outwit Link, they'd also have to outwit Zelda... And I doubt anyone of them could do that with the bearer of the Triforce of Wisdom
And I don't think Link should choose Malon just to avoud unpleasant situations. Not only would it be unfair to Malon, it'd also be a cowards way out. If he wants to be with zelda and some jealous idiots are trying to make fool of him, he should show them who's better. And since I do think he's rather smart (he has to solve all those puzzles, after all, and come up with a way to beat all those enemy's) I think he should be able to outwit those guys.
Besides, Zelda herself wouldn't be fooled, like I said, so in the end, those other suitors wouldn't be able to change her mind with petty tricks loke that.
(And read the OoA Manga, seriously. It's t0tally awesome.)

And Yayu has a point, Ganonslayer. Link is not a COMPLETE moron. There is no way a retard would be able to solve all the puzzles in those dungeons (... okay, maybe walking into walls, though), and find all those monsters' weakpoints. Just because he's from a forest doesn't mean he's retarded. For all we know, the forest has a pretty good education system.

They have the Great Deku Tree after all and I doubt he wouldn't teach the future hero at least a litttle. And even then, Link may not know about a lot of things, but that doesn't have anything to do with him being inteligent or not. He just hasn't had the chance to go to a school.

He's just a (faceless) monster that ressembles Link's looks and mirrors his attacks in a vain attempt of defeating him and has no personality whatsoever. Besides that, Link has no problem in killing him.
Is that disproving enough?
